Naomi's POV

I quickly ran out of the shower, "Shit Naomi why are you always late?" I said to myself as I ran across the room slipped on a long black shirt with some leggings, boots and then went to straighten my hair. Finally, I packed on some makeup and sprayed on a bit of perfume. Suddenly someone knocked on my door.

"Come in." I looked back to see Jordan. "Hey! How do I look?"

Jordan chuckled. "Beautiful as always, where you going? Dinners almost ready."

"Well you're not going to believe this but! I have a date."

"A date?"

"Yup, that's right." I pressed my lips together.

"Are you ready for that?"

"I don't know, he's a really sweet guy though, kinda swept me off my feet. Literally." I giggled.

"Oh, then I take it the plan worked. Did he already start begging?"

"Nope. He's got a new girl, and they kissed in the cafeteria and everything sooo..."

"Really? That's a bit of an asshole move." Jordan sat next to me.

"Right? I don't know, it's not like him." I played with my fingers. "She's weird though."

"How so?"

"She stared at me the entire time I sat down at lunch. It felt like she wanted to kill me. I don't know, maybe I'm just being paranoid?"

"You probably are, just relax. Go on your date, and have fun." Jordan extended his hand as he got up. "Now come on you're going to be late."

"Right! I'll tell you all about it when I get home!"

"Go!"

I quickly ran out of my house and drove to the ice cream shop. As I got out of the car I noticed Scott waiting for me outside.

"Look who made it!"

I smiled at him, "Hi!"

"Shall we go in?" He opened up the door. "After you, my lady."

"Thank you."

We made the line for a few minutes, he ordered standard vanilla whilst I ordered my classic, white chocolate with a drizzle of caramel and we walked out to sit on a bench outside

"So...how long have you lived here?"

"I'd like to say half of my life. I moved here when I was practically eight, my parents and their best friends got a promotion or something and now we're here."

"So did you actually live in the UK or is the accent just because they speak like that at home?"

"I moved here from London yes. Honestly, I'd still be living there if it were my choice... but what about you did you always live here?"

"I did, my grandparents lived here, my parents and now me I guess. Pretty boring really."

"Aw come on it can't be that boring. What do your parents do?"

"My dad owns a hardware store, my mom is a mom. That's pretty much it. My parents are very...present. Too present if I say so myself." He chuckled.

"I wish my parents were present. I mean, they are more present now after what happened, but still, they work so much...I don't know I guess sometimes I just wish I had a shoulder to cry on."

"Yeah, I get it," Scott replied as I looked up to see Mena who was accompanied by Nina, walking in the distance. "So what happened there?" He startled me.
