Naomi's POV

I woke up to a loud bang on my door, "What is he doing here?" My dad shouted at Mena. "You left my daughter and expect me too—"

Quickly I stood up with Mena and placed my hand on his chest to hold him back, "Hey, dad! Dad it's alright. We're alright okay? It's all a miss-understanding." I smiled nervously.

"Not from where I see it, I've got my eyes on you. Now get out of this room and no closed doors—"

"Dad! What the —"

"No Naomi, I don't trust this. Now both of you downstairs, now."

Sighing I rolled my eyes, "Guess nap time is over, come on..." I went to walk out but noticed Mena stay behind. "What?" He crossed his arms.

"Can we talk for a second?" I nodded. We're being honest with each other right?"

"Um.. yeah?"

"Okay, what is he coming here for?" Mena took my phone and threw it at the bed. Confused I grabbed it and checked on the screen.

"Jordan?" Mena nodded seriously. "He's my best friend and a family friend Mena. You know we ended on good terms. What's the problem?"

"It's just unsettling that every time there's an issue between us you find you way back to him Naomi."

"Mena, I'm not doing this right now, I'm tired, my dad's gone mad and now this? It's nothing to worry about okay, Jordan and I have always kept contact why is it always a big deal?"

"He's your ex, Naomi, exfiancé! I think I have the least bit if a right to feel worried."

Walking up to him, I grabbed his hand and placed it on my belly. "Who's children are these?" Mena looked at me seriously. "Well? Who's children are these?"

"Mine."

"Exactly, not Jordan's or Scott's or anyones. Yours, now will you please chill out about this? I promise you there's nothing to worry about."

"Scott?" He scrunched his nose.

Rolling my eyes I turned to walk out, "It was an example Mena, now can we please go before—"

"Naomi! Down, now!"

"Coming dad!" I shouted and turned back to Mena making a pouty face. "Please trust me okay?"

Mena let out a breath and smiled, "I do trust you, I just don't trust him."

"Well that's a bit if a problem isn't it?" I raised my eyebrows at him before I heard the front door open up. "Honey, I'm home! Naomi, help me put these away sweetheart."

"Coming! Now come on, you're putting groceries away."

"What me?"

"Yes you, you're the reason I couldn't finish my nap so you're putting them away, let's go." Grabbing his arm I dragged him downstairs.

"Oh good, help me put these awa— Mena? What a surprise... is everything okay?"

"Um yeah mom, everything's fine. He's gonna help you while I go to the bathroom for a sec my breakfast isn'f sitti—"

"Naomi, sweetheart can I have a word?"

"Oh, okay..." I turned to Mena confused as my mom pulled me to the side. "What's up?"

"What'd you mean what's up? What's Mena doing here?"

"We talked things over mom, it's alright."

"Are you sure? Because alright isn't what you were when you got here two weeks ago Naomi Grace."

"Mom, we've had a rough patch it isn't a big deal alright? What is it with you and dad acting all serious anyways?"

"Naomi we love Mena and we've always cared for him but ever since you two have dated it's been... challenging. You left us sweetheart, and then the Jordan thing and now this. Don't you want to think this through?"

"What is there to think through mom? And since when do you guys think you have a say in my relationship?"

"Sweetie we're just looking out for you, you're still young and—"

"I'm young, not stupid okay? And it'd really be helpful if stopped treating me like I was." I snapped back at my mom. Her eyes quickly widened, I wasn't usually like this, but I didn't get their attitude. "Excuse me," I walked away and into the bathroom. After my usual upset stomach I washed my hands and walked out to lay down in the living room. Suddenly I felt hands on my back, it was Mena. "Gosh, you scared me."

"Sorry, is everything alright. Things seemed pretty heated back there."

"They're fine its nothing," I let out a breath, "I'm so tired if throwing up everything."

"I know, but I mean it should pass soon,"

"It's felt like an eternity,"

"I know I'm sorry, do you want anything some mints or tea to soothe your stomach."

"No it's alright, honestly all I want is to go home—"

"Dinners ready!" I heard my mom shout.

"Guess it'll have to wait, come on." Mena grabbed my hand and we both walked up to the table. Quietly we all sat down to eat, I swear I couldn't remember the last time I'd had a dinner this awkward. Finally my mom broke the silence.

"So Nay how have you been feeling today?"

"Same as always, hungry, sleepy, nauseous. Nothing new."

"Well somethings new, you look like your belly's gonna pop soon!" My dad said excitedly.

"Yeah, Mena noticed too." I smiled gently at him.

"It's a shame he didn't notice for the right reason." My dad muffled.

"I'm sorry?"

"Nothing,"

"No dad, if you're going to say something speak up." I crossed my arms.

"Fine, he hasn't been around for weeks, of course he noticed its grown."

"You are unbelievable,"

"Naomi, sweetie you can't be this blind! You hurt my daughter for the last time."

"We're a couple dad, couples fight."

"A man doesn't leave his pregnant fiancé because he "needs to time" that's not how this works."

"You know what, I'm done here, I'm going home." I dropped my napkin on the table and got up.

"What do you mean you're going home? You are home!" My mom stood up as well.

"You're not going anywhere young lady,"

"Or what dad? I'm not 18 anymore, I—"

"Nay stop it's fine. I'll go," Mena grabbed my hand as he widened his eyes at me. "I'll come pick you up tomorrow okay," He whispered softly as he cupped my cheek.

"Don't go,"

"It's fine I promise, just don't get stressed out because of this it isn't good for the babies." I could feel myself getting teary eyed. "Hey its okay, I love you." Mena gave me a forehead kiss and turned to look at my parents. "I'm sorry for the trouble I've caused. I hope you can forgive me." My parents lowered their heads and he walked out.

"Thanks a lot,"

"Where are you going, you haven't touched your plate!"

"I'm not hungry," I said as I went upstairs and locked myself in my bedroom. Sighing I threw myself in bed, this felt way too familiar...
