Never Leave (Klance Fanfic)

Chapter 2 - Gone

Hunk POV

I went to get a midnight snack, only to see Keith leaving Lances room. I shrug my shoulders and continue to eat, I hear another door open and close, I peak the corner to see Lance with a tear-stained face and a small bag. Soon I hear footsteps I hide again once the footsteps decrease I turn again to see Keith with his own bag, following Lance.

I quietly follow them and watch how their actions unfold.

"Lance?"He turns my head to see Keith with a bag in his hand, he's confused. "What are you doing here? You know what never mind. Don't stop me."

He turns back to the pod but Keith holds his wrist, stopping him in his tracks. "I'm not going to stop you. I'm going to join you." He turns his head slightly, "That's why I have this bag, I was going to pack our stuff and leave this place with you."

They stare at each other, Lance breaks the silence. 

"Let's go."

They get in the pod then there off. 

I start to panic a bit, 'Why did they leave? Was it about yesterday? Why was Lance crying?' Thoughts run through my mind, a feeling leading me to my room. I sit on my bed and think, 'When's the last time I talked or hangged out with Lance?'

I know it's been a while, now that I think about Lance has always been alone or spending time with Keith. He never acts the same way he used to when we first joined Voltron. As my thoughts ring I soon fall asleep.

Next Day

A soft knock rings on my door, "Hunk it's time to get up." I stretch and open my door to see Shiro. "Good Morning." He gives me a small smile, "Have you seen Lance and Keith?" Then the night comes back to me. I start to panic, "THERE GONE!" 

Shiro's eyes widen, "WHAT!?

HE rushes away, soon Allura's voice rings through the ship. "ALL PALADINS TO THE MEETING ROOM NOW!" I rush to the meeting room, Pidge looks likes she hasn't slept in days. "What's wrong?"

Allura frowns, "Keith and Lance are gone." He starts to wake up, "WHAT!? WE NEED TO FIND THEM, WHO'S GOING TO PIOT THE RED LION." I was about to agree with her until I realize that she didn't mention the blue lion. "What about the blue lion?" They look at us confused but Shiro speaks up, "We were planning to drop Lance, and replace him with MAtt so we don't need him anyway."

I burst of realization hit me, 'This is why this is why he was crying.' 

"THAT'S WHY THEY LEFT!" They all look at me with confusion, "We fucked up, we push Lance around and treat him like trash! Keith has been the only one on his side."Allura grows angry, "So he kidnapped Keith! That-" 

"NO!" I cut her off.

"Keith left willingly, actually he was going to take Lance and leave but Lance beat him to it so he joined. Lance most likely left because of us treating him like shit and Keith joined because he couldn't stand it!"

I look at Pidge, "Pidge I bet all the food in the galaxy that you cursed out lance for trying to get you to take care of yourself." She looks down at her feet and stays silent. 

"Shiro! You and Allura beat him up for no reason! Claiming that he's weak, but all he does is train and work hard to save the universe with us and now we have no Voltron, no group, and not enough paladins."

Everyone stays quiet, tears start to spill from my eyes. 'I'm so sorry Lance.'

"You guys." We look over to Pidge as she pulls up the pod controls, "I can't find their pod, they must have taken the tracker out."

Red lights start blinking, "The Galra." 

Shiro, Pidge, Allura and I run to our lions. I watch as Allura tries to activate the lions but they stand still, not allowing her to ride either of them. Shiro's voice rings, "Let's go Paladins."

I think about Keith and Lance, 'I hope you two are ok.'
