Chapter 6 - Hello

I'm trying to keep them together but it's not working.

I don't know what to do or how long we're going to last.

"Cheese and Crackers, what are we going to do."

2 Years Later

Lance POV

I feel the warm pair of strong arms around my waist, I look up at my lover and smile at his peaceful state. I kiss his chin and cuddle deeper into his soft chest. After we were introduced to this village and what I am Keith and I stayed in our treehouse near the river for almost a year with Genta. Coming in and out of the village when needed.  

We got closer, afters ome months he confessed to me and I gladly accepted. It was one of the happiest days of my life. Soon after we decided to live in the village, once we got situatied we decided to build a new home near the woods. 

We soon got adjusted and became accustomed to our new life. Something is changing though, I can feel it when I look at the night sky. I'm going to point it out to Keith and tell him today, I wonder what he'll say. 

I feel Keith shift a bit, I look up to meet my favorite pair of grey eyes. "Morning~" He smiles at me, "Morning Lance." I smile as he holds me close, I start to feel uneasy due to my previous thoughts. 

"Lance what's wrong."

I frown a bit, "Something's wrong. The stars are getting dimmer and I have a feeling that bad things are taking place outside of this planet."

Keith hums, "I agree with you, do you think it has something to do with Voltron?"

I think for a moment, "Maybe, I think we should check the escape pod. You may have taken the tracker out but we can still get info." 

Keith nods, "Ok, sounds like a plan."

We get out of bed, Keith heads to the baths and takes a shower while I get the fruits and nuts ready for breakfast. I turn to the bed to see a sleeping Genta on the floor having a pleasant dream, I get some fish and lay it on a plate and set it next to her for when she wakes up. Once I'm done I change into someday clothes, once I'm done Keith is fully dressed and fresh. We eat breakfast, chatting like always. 

Once we're done, we head out.

We walk through the town, greeting the people and picking up some snacks from the market. We finally make it to the woods, across the river, and though the forest. We look through some bushes and soon fing our old and plant-covered pod. 

We open it to it looks exactly the same as it did before, Keith gets in and turns it on. Looking for any new on Voltron in the ships univeral update. "Lance, look at this."

I peak at the screen to see bold red letter, "WE NEED YOU LANCE AND KEITH. RETURN TO VOLTRON." 

I gasp, Keith continues to look through any updates. "They couldn't replace us. There on there last leg and the Galra are winning. At this rate, they and the universe won't last that long." 

We look at each other, "We should go back." 

Keith looked reluctant, "I don't like the way they treated you, but the universe is at stake." He looks back at the pod, "We can go, only on one condition." I look at him as he gets out of the pod and wraps his arms around my waist. "When the war is over, we come back here and starta family."

I blush a bit, "A f-family?" He nods, and I just smile and give him a loving and passionate kiss, "Sounds like a plan."

We make our way back to the village to tell the Cheif, once we get there and explain the situation she agrees to take care of Genta and our home. We promised her that no one would find this planet and that we'd return when the war was over. Once we head on home, we pack our supplies and head back to the pod. 

We get in, Keith set his coordinates to the ship, we shoot through the sky. I feel a warm hand on mine, I hold it tight.

'It's time to face my past.'

Hunk POV

We're on our last leg.

I sit with the rest of our dysfunctional team as we try to think of a full proof plan to defeat the Galra without Voltron. It's not going well, we've lost hope the universe has lost hope and our former teammates are nowhere to be found.

Then a soft beep rings though the tense filled room, Allura get up to see who it is. When she gets up there she looks a bit confused, "It says an escape pod is returning."

We stay quiet letting her word come together, then we all make our way to the pod area. 

'I has to be them!'

We finally made it there, we watch as a dirty pod returns to its holder. We stand to wait for the door to open when it does we all watch as 2 male figures step out. 

"K-Keith, L-Lance?"

Lance gives me a small smile, "Hello."
