Chapter 11 - Lotor

Lance POV

Some time has passed since Shiro hurt me, we've been avoiding each other like the pledge. That didn't stop us from backing us Prince Lotor when he defeated his father and killed Hagger. The next phase of the plan was coming along, a date was already set on the day Prince Lotor would fight to become the next in line.

I have a bad feeling about this.

Ever since he killed them he releases this weird aura, making me feel uneasy. I feel like he's hiding something, hiding something that could change all our plans. So in the shadows, I've been spying on him. 

Watching his every move, seeing if there's a change in his body language or behavior. I've been doing this for a while now, only telling my suspicions to Keith recently. At first, he was a bit surprised at what I told him but soon got on board with the idea.  

Trusting his judgment he told Pidge and Hunk about this suspicion. Surprisingly they were on board with it, agreeing to the uneasy feeling as well. 

Today the uneasy feeling was brought to light as a silver space pod floats towards the ship. 

Coran gasp, "That almost looks like Altean metal."

While Allura and Lotor are in the other room looking at some tech, Hunk gets on his Lion and gets the small pod. Once inside we al crowd around, it opens to relieve a girl with blond hair and light blue Altean Marks under her eyes.

We all gasp, shocked by the girl's race.

I pick her up and look at the others, "We should bring her to the other room."

 They nod as we rush to chair, she starts to stir and soon opens her eyes. I starts to grow worried, "Are you ok?" 

She looks panicked at first but calms down a bit when she sees Coran, after giving her some water. She starts to explain to us what happened to her and the rest of the surviving Alteans. How Lotor is using them for there quintessence and killing then off. 

We hear footsteps coming close to the double doors, the door soon opens to reveal Lotor and Allura.

She looks confused, "What's going on?"

Keith, Hunk and I pull out our weapons, with Keith behind then and the rest of us in front.

I glare at Lotor, "Allura, step away from Lotor."

She stretches out her arms in front of him, "I will do no such thing, tell me what's happening here."

Romelle speaks out, "Lotor is a monster and has been harvesting quintessence from Alteans for generations."

Allura grows shocked, "An Altean!?"

She looks at Lotor as Romelle continues, "You killed my brother and thousands of others."

Pidge steps in, "Lotor has been lying to us the whole time! He's a murderer. Just like his father!"

Allura looks at us with sad eyes, wishing this wasn't true. Lotor tries to defend himself, but Allura starts to grow angry.

"What are they talking about?"

They look at each other, "Allura listen to me. I've dedicated my life try ing to preserve Altean culture. Now that we have unlocked the quintessence field all of your people would have been hunted down long ago had it not been for my intervention so they can live in peace. Where some lives lost in the process, yes but they were noble. I sacrificed a few to preserve the future to millions. Allura does not let this ruin everything we've worked for."

He moves closer to her but she grabs his wrist and flips him on the floor, knocking him out in the process. Then an alert went off.

"They hanger's being breached!"

We going into attack mode as we run to the Hanger to defend the ship, we were able to take Lotors Generals down. As the battle comes to an end I notice Lotor running to an open ship. I take a dagger and throw it at him. 

It hit's the back off his neck, cutting straight through. He falls to the ground, choking on his own blood. 

The others gasp at my action, well all except Keith, he's seen me in battle before. 

I start to get a headache, I fall to my knees as images flash through my mind.

"Lance! LANCE!" I look up to see my worried lover. I look at the other, "We need to get to the Milky Way, Now!"
