Never Leave (Klance Fanfic)

Chapter 10 - Always

 Hunk and Pidge get in there Lions, I look over to see Shiro having trouble. Usually, you can get in at least but his won't even let him in. "Um, you guys! Mine's not letting me in!" 

Lance POV

I don't know why but I got out of Blue, I walk out making my way toward Shiro and his Lion.

Out of pure instinct, I touch the metal nose of the Black Lion. I closed my eye, 'Please.'

I head a faint gasp, I open my eyes to see a shocked Shiro and glowing eyes from nonother than the giant lion in front of me. I smile, "I think you can get in now." I start to walk back, but I'm suddenly stopped by a strong grip.

"How the hell did you do that!?" His grip tightens making me try to jerk back, but his grip only tightens. "Let go your hurting me!"

"TELL ME!"

The castle shakes as the lions' roar once again, the room grows tense as Shiro lets me go in pure shock. I step backward, letting my back his the wall as I touch my arm, trying to think of some way to ease the pain. 'Of course he ha to use his metal are.'

As the roars die down, the ground shakes. I look up to see all Lions looking like there ready to pounce. Red creeps closer. Almost cornering Shiro, "Stop!" Surprisingly they do as I say, they go back in their designated spot in line.

Before anything else could happen I run out, not stopping as I hear Princess Allura and Prince Lotor call out for me. I run to Keith's room, once the door closes rush to the bath. I take deep breaths to calm down.

I unzipped the side of my one-piece, I carefully take my arms out of each sleeve. Letting it tie around my waist I wince at the large bruise wrapped around my upper arm.

Loud banging echos throughout the room, "Lance it's me! Open up!"

Keith? I take long strides as I unlock the door for him, he comes in and ingulfs me in a warm hug. The door closes and locks behind him, once he lets me go he notices the large bruise on my arm. He glares at it, I can feel his anger grow as his eyes start to turn yellow and his skin purple.

I stroke his cheek to calm him down, giving him a warm smile. This usually happens when he used to have night flashes. "I'm ok, it's ok Keith." He starts to take a few breaths as he reverts back to his usual self. He picks me up and placed me on the bed, he takes out his bag. He digs through it and pulls out a small bottle. "Glad I brought this."

Inside the bottle was an ointment, used by warriors that get injured during training. He then pulls out some bandages and sits down next to me. He applies the ointment gently, I start to relax as the pain becomes faint. He then wraps it up softly but firmly. "There, you should be good now."

He pulls me close, laying us down on the bed. I nuzzle into his warmth, the feeling of ease spreading throughout my body. 

"Lance?"

I close my eyes, "Yes?"

"If you want to leave, just say the word and were gone."

I smile a bit, "I would love to go back home, but we have to end this war. It's not THAT bad."

I hear Keith growl, "The bruise says otherwise." I wrap my arms around Keith, "Let's just stay here for a while." He tightens his grip on me, I start to fall asleep in his warmth. 

Keith POV

I look down at Lance and smile at his peaceful face, I slip out from his grasp. 

I tuck him in and leave the room, taking long strides across the castle. I look high and low, for the metal armed man who hurt Lance. I finally find him near the training grounds, without warning, I punch him in the face.

"Keith!? Wh-"

I didn't let him finish his sentence, I punched him again and again. Not allowing him to get back up I felt a pair of arms pull me back.

"STOP! YOU'LL KILL HIM!"

It was Hunk, I spat at Shiro glaring daggers at him. He began to lose consciousness, "If you lay a finger on Lance EVER again! I'll Kill You!"

He looks at me before completely blacking out, "Hunk, let go."

He does, and I storm off walking past the others, all shocked at my actions. 

I make my way back to Lance, seeing his peaceful figure warms my heart.

"I'll always protect you."
