The streets were bright and crowded with people. All over the festival, there ware pumpkin patches, few haunted houses, 2 scare mazes, costume contests organized for each week and holiday crafts for the younger crowd, there were even few family-friendly non-scary celebrations. For the older ones, there was the spooky and downright scary and Eiji was weighing on which one they should go first.

"Ash, on which one do you think we should go first?" Eiji asked as he gave the flyer in his hand to the Ash. Ash studied it for a few moments before responding "I think we should go to the 'Mad scientists lab' first and then 'Magic show of the big Malachi' since they are conveniently next to each other. " Eiji looked at the flyer at the place Ash was pointing and nodded "Okay, to the laboratory!" Eiji declared making Ash chuckle at his childlike behavior. Both of the boys walked through streets with slight smiles, Ash careful to look only in front of himself so he wouldn't notice partly hidden-by-crowd pumpkins around him. After 15 minutes or so they were already in front of the tent with a sign 'Mad scientists lab'. Both boys walked in, the inside of the tent was dim and there were already dozens of people seated. Eiji and Ash took a seat in a first row and waited for a few minutes while chatting. "Hello, and welcome to my laboratory. I hope all of you enjoy seeing my crazy experiments" the boy said just as he walked out on the stage.

At the end of the show, a few more people came and started serving the exact same streets that boy made in front of them. Eiji only took two glow-in-dark spooky cupcakes while Ash took one broken glass cupcake.

Once the show has finished both boys walked out. They chatted a little while they waited for a magic show to begin and that's when Eiji noticed a small crowd of girls a few feet away from them. "Ash, let's go check out what's that?" Eiji called pointing to their left. Ash turned around and nodded in agreement once he inspected the stand, they walked to the stand and looked inside. There were few bottles inside, one next to each other so they were forming a triangular shape. "Oh, I know this game, it's -ring a bottle' " Eiji said with a smile. "Ash, you should play as well" Eiji added. Ash expected a game for a few moments before nodding "Sure, why not? Once they finish." Both boys looked at group little behind them and they were slightly taken aback when they noticed they were all staring at them. "Uhm, we all played at least one, so you can go ahead of us"

"It's no problem," some other girl confirmed it clearly blushing.

"Oh, they are gushing over Ash's looks aren't they?" Eiji thought amused.

"Well, if you all are alright with it," Ash asked and every girl nodded. Ash smiled thankfully, on which girls responded by blushing even more, and walked closer to the stand and asked for rings which he got. Once he took them he walked 2 feet away from the bottles and he got 'ring' on every single bottle. Girls squeaked in unison while Ash walked back to the stand, Eiji was about to follow him but he was pulled back by one of the girls.

"Hey, is he single?" she asked. Eiji thought for a few moments before replying. "No." he answered making all girls sigh disappointedly.

"He is with me."

Eiji walked to the stand. "Well, congratulations," man at the stand said as he handed Ash, a big fluffy teddy bear. Eiji quickly took out his phone and called Ash "Ash, look here" and just as Ash turned around Eiji took a photo of him hugging a teddy. "Aw, you look adorable" Eiji giggled.

"Eiji" Ash whined making older boy giggle even more. "Fine since this. . . thing is adorable you take it" Ash handed Eiji a teddy bear that Eiji gladly took. "Thank you" and with that, both boys walked back. Once they got back they noticed the tent was lighted indicating that show already began.

"Come on, Eiji" Ash called already walking inside. Eiji smiled, happy to know he is enjoying himself.

"Look, Ash, that's photo cabin. Come on" Eiji said dragging Ash.

"Alright, alright. Eiji stops pulling me" Ash barely said before Eiji shoved him inside. "Geez. What a kid" Ash teased. "I heard that." Eiji looked at him. "I know" Ash replied with a smirk. Eiji huffed and put in a coin. The camera took four pictures and once done, Eiji quickly jumped out to check the pictures. Ash smiled and followed. He leaned on the Eiji's shoulder and look at 4 different photos of the two of them.

"So, anyway, it's time for a movie surprise, wanna go check it out" Ash nodded and they both walked to the left end of the festival where there were a lot of blankets and chairs to sit down on opposite of huge canvas where the movie was about to be played. They took a seat on one of the blankets and chatted while waiting for a movie to begin. Every time there would be some kind of horror scene Eiji would either grab Ash by his arm, or would hide behind him, or even hug him so he wouldn't be able to see the movie. Ash didn't say a word of protest since he enjoyed having Eiji cling on him. The movie lasted for almost two hours and once it finished both boys agreed to go back home since they were exhausted.

"Ash, to you, what was the most enjoyable thing we did today?" Eiji asked as they walked back. Ash considered the question for several moments before answering "I liked the game 'ring a bottle' next year we should play some more of those games" Eiji smiled and nodded happily. "Yes, of course, we will!"
