"Where am I?" figure on the white mattress thought as he blandly rose from bed and untangled the sheets that clung to his body, room he was in was completely white and empty except bed and machine that was connected with his hand through lots of tubes, his whole belly, and part of his ribs was covered with bandages and he growled at sight. He slowly made his way to doors, his legs threating to give out as he reached for the doorknob that made 'klick' sound as he opened doors.
"What? It's open." blond male thought as he slowly peeked out of the doors. He was greeted with a big red hallway with high gold ceilings and he physically had to surpass the chill going down his spine. His whole insides turned and Ash was sure that he would throw up if there was something to.
Quietly and gradually walking through the hallway got him tired unusually fast and Ash only hoped he wasn't showing, knowing that he will most likely be discovered again by the person who brought him here since he wasn't in shape to fight, but still continuing until he stopped in front of the big doors he slowly pushed to open.
"So, you're the one that brought me here?" Ash asked as he walked into the room and leaned on the wall. His eyes coldly eying the man sitting at the armchair, his black eyes meeting his gaze.
"Yes, I am." black-haired male responded with a nod.
"Well, I would introduce myself, but you probably know enough about me, so how about you tell me something about yourself and your intentions." the blond male questioned, coldly returning his gaze with his own demanding aura. The other didn't look impressed, maybe amused but not impressed.
"Very well then, My name is Noel Yoshida, currently." he smiled "I came from very far to meet you. I want to make a deal with you. Are you interested?" Ash didn't answer and the boy didn't continue. "What kind?" the blond boy growled. "Well, you see. My enemies and I had this race, to see who will get you first." Ash scowled and Noel nodded "Yes, you were a trophy, but please don't misunderstand. Unlike them, I know you're a person as well, which is why I'm giving you a choice." Ash gestured for him to continue.
"Join me, or stay and get captured by another side, and just so you know, they aren't nearly as polite as me. I imagine you know what I mean by that." he stood still "So, I'm going to end up in someone's possession either way, and you would just let your enemies get their hands on me." his voice void of any emotions "That sounds like a stupid plan."
"You're not a possession. You're human. A person dammit!" Ash watched the boy leaned up front, taking a few deep breaths to calm himself from rage threatening to spike up. "Look, I didn't come here to win you as some possession. I just wanted to warn you, they- those people are not someone you want for your enemies. You won't be able to fend them off by yourself." Ash wanted to tell him that's not his problem, that he would rather put a bullet through his head then go through that hell again, heck he was ready to leave it all behind if it wasn't for this boy, he would, but he didn't. His dark sorrowful eyes reminded him of Eiji, he looked so venerable in that split second, before he was a mask of indifference again. Ash wondered if he has a similar look when he's with Eiji.
"... Okay, let's assume you really do want to help me. How did you find me?" Ash asked tilting his head while gazing at his savior. "One of my many connections helped me." he gestured for Ash to take a seat and he obliged "Before we proceed I need to know one thing." Noel was serious, even more than before while he watched the blond gang leader "Do you... wish to die?" Ash grit his jaw shut, his green eyes flaring while he glared at the question. "I'm not afraid of it."
"I know enough about you to know that you don't trust anyone so easily, but I will do everything in my power to earn your trust if you want to make a deal," Noel explained with a sigh.
"Even so, just because you know a few things about me doesn't give you a right to act as you know me," he glared at a boy with deadly intent.
"I know far more than 'few things', and I know how it feels to go through the pain of being treated as an object far better then you think."
"... You don't know me." Ash whispered in low voice.
"No, I don't. I know only what you went through, I know your information, not what kind of person you are." Noel answered as he bent down and grabbed some papers out of the drawer in his table.
"Report: Ash Lynx" Noel read and glanced at Ash before continuing.
"Being a respected and feared gang leader at the age of 17, Ash has the personality and skill to gather large groups of individuals together under his influence. Not only is he excellent in combat and an incredible marksman, but he's also highly intelligent with an IQ of 210. Ash is mistrustful and holds most people at arms-length except for a few select friends in his inner circle, the most notable being Japanese boy Eiji Okamura. He is not afraid of death not because of courage, as he calls himself a coward, but because of his disillusionment with his own life. Should I continue?"
Ash stood there for a few seconds, unsure of what to do. When he caught that name everything around him stopped mattering.
