My roommate: Eiji and Ash are roommates. They both are quite opposites of each other. They both start to hang out and become their best friend. How will that turn out? Dedicated to YizzyPop27 for voting on the story.

A silhouette of the boy walked through the dim, eerie streets. His footsteps echoing with each step while he studied his surroundings"Ugh, I'm lost. Great, there is no way to get a better first impression on the new student then him being late." he thought with sigh leaving his lips.

"Hey!" someone called behind him making him spin around with surprised look "what are you doing here?" The man asked. As he came closer Eiji noted that he was in his early twenties with dark hair and beard. He also had baggy clothes and reeked of alcohol. Eiji denied the feeling of gag at the back of his throat and instead breathed through his mouth.

"Well, um, I'm kinda lost" he replied sheepishly, taking a step behind. "Is that so? It's dangerous to walk around here all alone." The man took a step closer and Eiji went behind with a step on his own "Oh, i see. I should probably hurry and go then."

"How about I help you get out of here safely, with a small price of course." A wicked smile appeared on his face and Eiji felt the roll of sweat going down his face. Something about this situation felt so similar even if he was sure he doesn't remember anything like this happening before.

He twitched. "Well, that's very kind of you, but I don't have any money to give you, sorry." he gulped and started backing away.

"Oh, come on, how can you be so selfish. There is something I really want to buy, and for that I need money. So, how about you just hand over your bag and wallet, and nobody gets hurt." before Eiji can answer the one came from behind him, deeper into an alleyway. "If you want money then get a job, bum." Eiji twisted around to face the incoming boy. He had a hood, but he could still see some outlines of him, becoming clearer with every step he took.

"Y-you are..." there was the edge of panic in his voice while he backed away, his face twisted and terror overtook it. Eiji watched him before turning his gaze back to the young boy who answered: "Ash Lynx."

"I-i, he-" Ash cut him off with a menacing growl. He really didn't look like he was in the mood for whatever excuse the man wanted to tell him. His eyes narrowed int green slits "Get lost before I change my mind." They watched the man scurry away before he turned back to Eiji "You okay?"

"Ye-yeah, Thank you for that." His voice cracked and Eiji had to gulp down the warm feeling in his stomach. He felt... off.

"Yeah, whatever, but you really shouldn't go into alleyways like this if you want to avoid this kind of situation. Now get outta here before you get into a situation like that again." The boy started walking away leaving a very confused Japanese behind. Eiji couldn't follow him. He had odd felling. Like he was happy but it was painful. Like he was being called and jet he was numb. Simply put, he was overwhelmed and he didn't know why.

"So, what is your room number?" Shorter asked with a grin while he was looking over Ash's shoulder into the paper he was holding. "It's room number #34" Ash answered while examining the sheet of paper in his hands. "Oh, I'm close by, mine is #45. Such a shame we didn't end up together though." Shorter groaned. Ash gave him a flat look. Yes, Shorter is his best friend. No, he doesn't want to share a room with him. It was too disturbing even to imagine. He'll rather risk with his roommate. Most of the students were anxious at the thought of sharing the room with Aslan Jade Callanreese. He was top at his class and school and would always get away with whatever trouble he caused because of being a teachers' pet, as students called him. They were somewhat right. No teacher in this entire school could do anything to him, but for a different reason, rather than being their precious model student, he was a favorite student of school chairman who got him into the school in the first place. Dino Golzine, old bald men with suspecting wealth and equally distrusting fondness to Ash. 17-years-old remembers when he first enrolled in the school. He tried to stay low for as long as he could, choosing to not correct the teachers and stay away from idiotic students that could lower the school's image just by talking - for elite school for rich kids they were too spoiled and dumb for Ash to interact with. Then all went downhill when one certain teacher started a quarrel with him which resulted in a young blond teen being sent to the chairman. From then on Dino Golzine - or papa how he preferred to be called but Ash will never oblige to that, he developed a strange attachment to Ash. Calling him intellectual and worthy of being in his school. He was a creep, to say the least.

"Yeah, yeah. Let's just hope our roommates aren't some bothersome asses. That's the last thing i need right now." Ash responded while trying to somehow-tame the platinum hair of his, but the wind strongly protested. "Imma go meet my roomie now, good luck Ash!" Shorter grinned and ran inside the dorm before Ash could remind him of his backpack left laying on the bench, "Oh well, that should teach him to look after his own things." Ash shrugged and turned around. As tempting, it was to leave it he thought it over. Shorter was Ash's friend and his phone was probably in there and he knew Nadia will give him a lecture if he loses it in the first week of school - Ash was tempted just because of that. He himself was subject to serval discourses with Nadia, their school nurse, and Shorter's older sister. It was a hellish experience he was not keen on repeating any time soon. Shortar would still deserve it though, he was so annoying at times. Ash still tugged on its strap as he continued his walk inside.

He walked for a few minutes, his gaze shifting from the paper in his hand, to numbers on the doors around him. He stopped while standing face to face with doors '#34' written on the doors. He took out his small key from his pocket and after short he was inside. He knocked just in case his roommate was already inside. He wasn't, judging by the lack of things or clothes inside. Maybe he was lucky enough to get the room for himself. Yeah, right. Ash Lynx and luck don't go together with each other that often. He is probably just late.

Ash sighed and flopped himself on the bed on the left side of the small room. The room was small, not in any way remarkable, two beds on each side of the corner with small nightstands, ugly brown lamp on them, and big window above them hovering in the middle of the two beds. There was a small wardrobe closet lined up opposite of Ash's bed and two tables with chairs, one next to his bed while others were close to an extra bed. All in all, the room was not cramped, but it definitively wasn't roomy with two people in it. And there will be two people, that was something Ash was sure. He glanced from over his shoulder to gray bag of his loud-mouth friend that laid o the floor where Ash threw it as a lazy, tired, chaotic teenager he is. He didn't have anything else to do so he might as well go return it. "He said his room was 45# so this is it,"  Ash thought to himself and knocked on the doors.

Someone yelled from the other side "Coming!" and the shuffling begins. The doors opened to reveal big dark-skinned men with dark glasses. Ash recognized him as 3rd year called Cain Blood. Fitting with his appearance. Cain was big and buffy yet was studying to become lawyer "Yo, Ash. What's up?" He asked. "You're Shorter's roommate?" Cain nodded "Yeah, he went out though. Said he forgot his bag outside," Ash sighed and brought his hand up "Yeah, i know." Cain grinned and took it "I'll tell him when he comes back. Bye Ash." Ash grunted a response and started his way back to his room.
