"So, what was the great plan you made for today?" Ash mocked his best friend.
"We're gonna go play laser tag." Shorter smirked, stuffing his hands into his jacket pockets. Ash blinked and looked up at him, taking off his glasses and putting them gently on the table, "Laser Tag?" he repeated slowly as though the word felt foreign on his tongue. Shorter chirped in response. "Yep, and to make things more interesting let's make a bet."
Ash scoffed, shaking his head as he carefully shifted a book resting on his lap "A bet?" He was obviously not fond of the idea. Shorter didn't seem to care either way. "The loser has to do whatever the winner wants them to do." Shorter smirked with a devilish grin.
"Sure," Eiji smiled back.
"Great, let's go!"
Ash watched them start to leave the room only to whip back and march back to him and drag him away from his armchair where the book laid forgotten. Damm, such a shame. He was on the best part, there were so many things left to solve in those thirty pages he was yet to read.

He sneaked around the walls, ducking behind pillars and into corners. His eyes had long adjusted to the darkness, he blends into shadows with ease and shot anyone who came close to his corner. And look and behold, Ash was in first place with Shorter a few points behind him, placing him 2nd in ranks. Eiji wasn't doingtoobad but he was still far behind, but he was having fun. Every glance Ash took in his direction proved it, he was always grinning from ear to ear. Ash wouldn't leave him on his own, he was always close enough to him to keep an eye on him, but far enough for Eiji to not notice him. He saw a silhouette of a figure creeping towards Eiji, immediately he tensed up and hurried closer. A beep came from Eiji's direction and his vest lit up for a moment before all color was lost. Eiji chuckled nervously. The player who shot him sent him a quick grin before hurrying away.
Without another thought, Ash reached out and pulled Eiji into the dark corner. Eiji shrieked as he fell into a warm, strong embrace and faced the wall. "You suck at this," Ash whispered into his ear. Eiji blinked and slowly turned back his head. "Ash, you scared me," he complained. "I did?" Ash joked, letting him fully turn around but not breaking the hold he had on his waist.
"Yes, you did! You meanie!" Eiji grumbled, but still held onto his shoulders. Ash smiled tenderly "Is that so?" He asked, moving closer so he could feel Eiji's breath on his neck. "Yeah," Eiji whispered, his voice losing the persistence.
Ash pulled him closer to his body, as much as the garments would allow, as he pushed him against the wall. Eiji was entirely disoriented by the feeling of being so close to someone else, he bit into his lip to stop the gasp threatening to leave his mouth. Ash met his gaze squarely and Eiji gulped in anticipation.
Ash was tall and lean but hard; his arms lightly muscled and strong and Eiji felt like he could get used to being so close to Ash. The feeling felt addictive.
Ash's finger was under his chin, tilting his face up, and then they were kissing. Their mouths were pressed together and Eiji was - somewhere at the back of his head, aware that this wasn't the time nor appropriate place for these actions, the problem was that he didn't care. Hedidn'twantto care. Ash found his waist with his fingers and slid his hands up under Eiji's shirt, just above his abdomen. Eiji felt his skin tingle at the contact of the cool, slender fingers. When they parted, they were both out of breath. Ash moved away and watched him with his green eyes shining with satisfaction, a smirk stretched over his mouth. Eiji was still panting when he heard a quiet buzzing and then saw a red light. He looked down to see it was coming from his vibrating garment that was glowing red now. He looked back up to see Ash pointing his laser at him.
Eiji stared at him. "What the...?"
Ash ignored the question, turned back, and started walking away. Eiji snapped out of the daze now and more blood rushed to his face. "That's not fair!" He shouted at the top of his lungs. His heart still beating loudly in his chest.
"All is fair in love and war!" Ash called back followed by a quick, lighthearted chuckle. Eiji watched him leave until his knees buckled under him and he slid down the wall, his hands covering his burning cheeks. "Ash, you idiot! You'll pay for that!" he whined out loud. Not realizing the blond was in the same position.
