17. Plan

*Valerie's POV*

"Hey guys!" Jonah entered my dorm room.

He seemed awfully happy. Wonder what happened.

"Hey!" Corbyn replied and returned his attention to his computer.

"Did your plan work with Christina? Are you going over to see the wand?"

"Do you think that I would be going through every single spell in this book. If I hadn't completely struck out?" I snapped back.

"Oh, someone's in a bad mood"

"My mom's counting on me! I can't let her down!" I close my spell book and throw it on Corbyn's head.

"We can do this... If we stick together" Something is definitely wrong with him today. First he is so happy after coming back from practice and now he is speaking like some sort of motivational speaker.

"And we won't go back until we do. Because we're rotten..." I spoke.

"To the core" All of us said at the same time.

"Oh, yeah. I found out that fairy godmother blesses Zach with the wand at coronation and we all get to go. I have nothing to wear, of course" We all glared at Emma, "What?"

Then again there was a sharp knock on the door.

"Hold that thought" I told Emma and got up from my bed and made a beeline towards the door.

I turned the knob of the door to see a tall figure waiting.

"Hey, Val. I didn't see you guys today. I was just wondering If you had any questions or anything... That... you needed..."

Okay...he can't just call me Val. Only my friends call me that.

"Not that I know of" I simply replied while looking back at my group of friends in the room who were staring at me and Zach.

"Okay. All right. Well, uh, If you need anything, just, uh le-"

"Oh, wait! Um, is it true that we all get to go to your coronation?"

"Yeah, the whole school goes"

"Wow. That is beyond exciting. Do you think that It's a possibility that the four of us could stand in the front row next to the Fairy Godmother, just so we could soak up all that goodness?" I made up an excuse.

"I wish you could. Up front It's just me, my folks, and my girlfriend"

"Yeah. I'm sorry"

"Okay. Thanks, bye" I said while shutting the door in Zach's face while completely ignoring what he had to say. Time for a plan.

"I think It's time that 'Zachyboo' got himself a new girlfriend. And I need a love spell"

I said to Emma, Jomah and Corbyn quietly so that incase Zach was still behind the door, he wouldn't be able to hear me.
