*Valerie's POV*
I was walking to my next class along the hallway when I saw a familiar face. What's her name? Cristi? Kristen? No wait! Its Christina.
She walked into the bathroom and I decided to follow her there. That way I could work on my plan. The plan to get the magic wand.
I waited for Christina to come out of the cubicle so that I could talk to her and be 'friendly' towards her.
You might be wondering why getting the magic wand is SO important for the people on the isle. Well... The magic barrier can only be taken down by the magic wand. It's one of the most powerful things to exist in this universe!
My thoughts were interrupted when I heard the cubicle door unlock and saw her.
"Hi! It's Christina, right? Ah, always loved that name. Jane." I looked at her in the eye.
"That's cool" Christina washed her hands and started to run out of the cubicle. Obviously becasue she was scared of me.
"Don't go! I guess I was just kind of hoping to make a friend. You probably have all the friends you need though, huh?" I ran towards her before she left my sight.
Christina turned back to face me and I could see she was looking a bit upset. My plan is working!
"Hardly" Christina replied.
"Really? I mean, with your mom being fairy godmother and headmistress? I mean, not to mention your own, um... personality" I stuttered.
"I'd rather be pretty. You've got great hair" Christina pointed towards my curled up purple hair.
"You know what? I have just the thing for that. It's right... Ah, here" I opened up my spell book and looked for the perfect spell.
"'Beware, forswear, replace the old with brand new hair'."
In no time, Christina's hair grew from a short, straight and brown hair into long, nicely curled up hair.
"Wow! You almost don't notice your... Other features anymore" She looked into the mirror in front of us and admired herself. I stood behind her awkwardly not knowing what to do.
"Do my nose!" Christina screamed.
What is this? A beauty salon?
"Oh, I can't. I've been practicing, but you know, I can't do really big magic. Not like your mom with her wand. I mean, one swoosh from that thing and you could probably have whatever features you wanted" I hinted.
"She doesn't use the wand anymore. She believes that real magic is in the books. And not the spell books, regular books with history and stuff"
"What a rip" I replied.
"Yeah" Christina looked down.
"You know, she used magic on Cinderella, who wasn't even her real daughter. Doesn't she love you?" I tried to invoke a feeling of sadness in her so that she could kind of help me and the others out in this mission. If you know what I mean.
"Well, of course she does. It's... It's just, you know, tough love. 'Work on the inside, not the outside' You know, that sort of thing" I nodded my head.
"That's the face!" I yelled, "Yeah, and then just look as If your... your heart is about to break. 'Oh, mother, I just don't understand why you can't make me beautiful, too'."
"Think it would work?"
"Yeah. I mean, that's what old Cindy did, right? And your mother Bibbidi-bobbidi-booed the living daylights out of her. And, hey, If your mom does decide to, you know, break out the old wand, invite me"
"If I can convince mom, you're so there" Chesitina said while picking up her bag that was on the floor.
"Yay" I lightly clapped my hands.
"Bye" Chrsitina waved and exited the bathroom.
"Bye" I waved.
