33. Do I Look Like I'm Kidding?

*Zach's POV*

I just felt so bad about the VKs. They did nothing wrong! In fact, nobody is at fault here! I walked towards the picnic area to find Val, Emma, Corbyn and Jonah sitting on the benches looking extremely upset about the situation earlier. I walked towards Valerie and placed my palm on bee shoulder to assure her that everything was going to be alright.

"Hey, guys. How is everyone?" I waited for a reply but was to no avail. "Yeah? Hey, listen. Forget about it. All right? It was nothing. Forget about it. Let it go. Tomorrow, after the coronation, I promise everything will be okay. I have to go. I'll see you guys later."

Val nodded her head and I hesitantly went back to the palace.

*Valerie's POV*

I felt a hand on my shoulder and I knew it was Zach's.

"Hey, guys. How is everyone? Yeah? Hey, listen. Forget about it. All right? It was nothing. Forget about it. Let it go. Tomorrow, after the coronation, I promise everything will be okay. I have to go. I'll see you guys later" Zach assured us.

I noticed a figure walk towards us, probably to mock us or something. The worst part was that I couldn't do any spell with my spell book because if I am mad, things can get really ugly.

"Listen, Emma, I wanna talk about earlier today. I just-"

"Daniel!" Jack called feom the distance.

Daniel turned to face Jack and back at Emma.

"It's my fault sorry Daniel, I'm sorry"

"No it's mine"

"Daniel! What?" Jack called again making Daniel face him.

"Dani-" Emma got cut off.

"Sorry, I can't" Daniel said before walking off to Jack and his 'gang'.

The four of us just stared at the group while they continued to talk bad things about us.

"How long does she think that's gonna last? Valerie is just the bad girl infatuation" Audrey whispered loudly enough for us to hear.

"Yeah. I mean, he's never gonna make a villain a queen" Christina whispered back.

That's it. I can't take anymore of this. I flip through my spell book and find a spell to undo Christina's hair.

"Beware, forswear, undo Christina's hair"

In just 2 seconds, Jack screamed, "Ew" after he saw Christina' hair.

"There's a lot more where that came from" I said to them.

"Excuse me, who do you think you are?" Audrey said in a sassy tone.

"Do I look like I'm kidding?" I started to flip through my spell book again before I heard shrieks. I looked up to see the whole gang running away feom the picnic area.

"I'm really looking forward to tomorrow. Let's grab that wand and blow this Popsicle stand" I told my 3 best friends.
