*Valerie's POV*

"Children, excuse me. Um, as you know, uh, this Sunday is family day here at Auradon Prep. And because your parents can't be here due to, uh, distance, we've arranged for a special treat" Fairy Godmother had arranged a special remedial lesson for goodness class god knows why but... this better be good.

Fairy Godmother gestured for us to come to the front while she switched on the weird looking television.

My mom's face appeared on the screen, along with Emma, Corbyn and Jonah's parents.

"I don't see anything, nor do I hear" My mom screamed into Emma's mom's ear.

"Is it...Is it...Is it" Mom said.

Tim rolled his eyes and told my mkm to "press enter"

Man they have no clue we can see them do they?

"Can I please see a remote? Is this thing on? Ugh, It's broken. Ugh! I hate electronic equip... Oh!" My mom said again after she was able to see us with Fairy Godmother.

"Emma, It's mommy. Oh! Look how beautiful. Oh, you know what they say, the poison apple doesn't fall far from the tree"

"Don't you mean the weeds?" Mom stated.

"Ooh! Who's the old bat?" Saskia asked referring to Fairy Godmother.

"This is Fairy Godmother"

"Still doing tricks with eggplants?"

I could tell that Fairy Godmother was super offended at this point of time.

"I turned a pumpkin into a beautiful carriage"

"You really couldn't give Cinderella till one A.M.? I mean, really. What, the hamsters had to be back on their little wheels? -"

"They were mice! They were not... they were mice. They were not..."

"Thank you so much. Thank you" I interrupted the conversation and held Fairy Godmother's shoulders to calm her down.

"They were mice!" Fairy Godmother told my mother and walked off into the next room to give us some space to talk to our parents.

"Hi mom" I spoke once Fairy Godmother was out of sight.

"You children are never far from our thoughts" Tim started.

"I got it"

"How long must mommy wait to see you? Mom asked.

"Um, there's a big coronation coming up. I think sometime probably after... that"

"When?"

"Friday 10 a.m"

"You sure I can't see you before that? I don't know what I'll do If I don't get my hands on that magic wan- you... you little nugget that I love so much" My mom hesitated thinking that Fairy Godmother was still in the room.

"Yeah I completely understand"

"Corbyn, is that a dog? Oh, yes, yes, baby, I do understand. It would make the perfect size for earmuffs" Saskia said out of the blue.

"He's the perfect size for a pet"

"Oh!" Saskia felt shocked to see Corbyn talk back to her.

"This dog loves me, and I love him. And FYI your dog is stuffed!"

There was an awkward silence before Corbyn spoke again.

"So give it a rest!"

"Oh-ho! Burn!" Tim laughed.

"Oh! Why don't you go sell a toaster, you two-bit salesman!"

"People who talk to stuffed animals shouldn't throw stones"

"Oh, well, people who sell toasters shouldn't use mixed metaphors. Enough!"

Corbyn immediately switched off the television with remote control.

"I'm so sorry kids" Fairy Godmother walked in.

"Thanks for the special treat" Jonah thanked.

"Of course"

The four of us walked out of the class with our bags hanging on one shoulder when Emma asked me a question.

"Val? What do you think our parents are gonna do to us. If we don't pull this off?"

"I think they will be quietly disappointed in us, but ultimately... Proud of us for doing our best" I smiled

"Really?" Em was shocked.

"No, I think we are definitely goners" I put back a serious face.

"Yeah"
