Lilly's POV
I awaited anxiously as the doctor walked into the room where I held my baby's hand. "Miss Wyatt, I have good news. Miss Lovato needed a few stitches but has no damage to her brain. She'll be able to go home today."
"Thank God," I said as he left the room. "Hey sleeping beauty, you get to go home today!" I whispered as Demi woke up.
"Mfffffffffffffffffffff, five more minutes?" She mumbled.
"You're definitely fine," I chucked.
A few minutes later, I helped Demi out of her gown and into her clothes. Damn, she has a nice body.
"Lil, my eyes are up here sweetie," giggled Demi as I dressed her.
I blushed at the name "Lil". Gosh, she was so cute.
Demi's POV
As soon as we got home, I crashed on the couch. When I woke up, Lilly was staring at her phone, frowning.
"What's wrong, babe?" I asked, kissing her on the forehead.
"I can't do this anymore," she whimpered, "nobody cares about me anymore. Not even my best friend. She was supposed to see me today for the first time in 3 months and before she goes to college, and she didn't bother to respond. She doesn't care that I'm staying with you even though we both love you so much and we went to your concert together. She keeps tweeting about how much fun she's having with her 'friends' who bullied me. Dems, I just don't wanna live anymore. Everything is so wrong."
Hearing my Lilly say that crushed my heart. "Shh, baby, I care so much about you. I'll never ever leave you alone or hurt you. Don't be afraid to come here, I'll protect you."
"My father wanted to kill me, I might as well not breathe."
"Lilly don't you dare say that. We haven't known each other long but you're my sunshine. I might even cook for you sometime. You're the best thing to happen to me. Me being with you feels so right, feels like forever."
She said nothing but leaned in and kissed me sweetly on the lips, then stared into my eyes. I returned the kiss, with grace and passion. We watched a movie in each other's arms until we dozed off.
