Hold Up

Lilly's POV

"LIL! GUESS WHAT?!" I was shaken awake and the first thing I saw were Demi's chocolate brown eyes.

"What?" I mumbled, slightly irritated from being woken up. 

"We're going to Dallas for Thanksgiving!" Demi nearly screamed. 

Oh no, I thought. Her family is gonna hate me so much. They'll be disappointed in who she likes.

At this point, only Maddie knew me and Dems were dating. And apparently Demi thought it would be a good idea to reveal us as girlfriends at Thanksgiving. In Dallas. At her parent's house. And they were gonna hate me and it would be so awkward and a train wreck.

"Hello, Lilly, you there?" I was broken out of my deep though by Demi flicking my head.

"Woah Dem, that's amazing!" I said with faked enthusiasm and mustered a fake smile.

"I'm so excited to tell my parents about us!" Demi squealed and wrapped me into one of her tight hugs.

Suddenly, I remembered what happened the night before and instantly went numb. I tried to get out of Demi's grasp but she was too strong.

"Oh no you don't. What are you doing, Lilly?" she asked with deep concern.

"Uhh, I have to pee?" I said, maybe too weakly, because soon Demi was running her fingers through my hair and staring into my eyes.

"Baby, you know you can tell me if you're feeling bad,"

"I'm fine, Demi,"

She looked hurt. I felt so bad for shutting her out, but I would feel even worse for making her feel like it was all her fault when it was all mine. She silently wiped my tears that I could no longer contain and I went deep into her eyes.

Demi's POV

It killed me to see my baby girl upset. Though she wouldn't tell me, I knew it was about last night. I just held her close because I knew that she needed it. It was all my fault, but there was nothing I could do to change it. I decided to spill some more news that I was gonna announce to her at dinner tonight, but thought it would cheer her up.

"Hey baby girl, I have a surprise for you."

Lilly instantly perked up, staring at me to tell.

"I've been secretly recording another album, and besides my manager, you're the first to know. And I want you to hear this song before anyone else."

"DEMMIIIIII YES I"M SO HAPPY FOR YOU AWWW you're literally the cutest!" With that, she pecked me on the lips, and I kissed back. The kissing got more intense before I pulled away laughing, "you're never gonna hear the song if we keep going!" 

We became serious, and I grabbed my guitar, and sang;

I knew you were all mine before I even knew you

From that first moment, when you looked me in the eyes, I knew it was true

Oh, I fell for you, I fell for you hard

And I love you, love you for all you do.

I continued on with the song and watched as tears (happy ones) formed in Lilly's eyes. When I finished, I embraced her and kissed her on the forehead.

"I will never let you go baby, no matter what." I whispered into her ear. She responded with a kiss.

It's these type of moments I live for.
