What a Merry Christmas___Sarcasm Vs. Truth
When I told Lily about the Potter fiasco she looked at me with pity, "You could always stay at my house if you want to." Lily suggested.
"I would but I want to spend time with my brother, so he at least has someone." I said really wishing I could take him with me.
Lily nodded understanding and Marlene seemed to be holding her breath.

It was now Christmas break. Lily and I have successfully avoided the Marauders, though I still helped Remus even if I was mad at him for not stopping the other boys.
I walked with the Potter's and learned that they were amazing people, my only question was what went wrong with James (I technically couldn't call him Potter sadly. Only when his parents weren't there).
Other then that I spent a majority of my time writing letters and playing with Jonathan.
Since it was almost Christmas I also spent a lot of time doing my bible studies. I would read one to Jonathan, even though he was too young and then I would explain it to the Potter's and surprisingly I enjoyed it (When James wasn't there of course).
I sat at the couch with Jonathan in my lap as I took small sips of my hot chocolate. Everything was going all right. As I sat there there was a knock on the door. Placing Jonathan next to me Mrs. Potter and I went to check and see who was there.
I opened the door and saw a tired and surprised Sirius standing there.
"I thought James was lying." He mumbled to himself.
Mrs. Potter ushered him in and I went to grab him hot chocolate, I mean everyone needs hot chocolate in their life.
"I've been disowned." He mumbled softly to Mrs. Potter.
She then called James and he smiled when he saw Sirius. Jonathan who could just barely crawl, then came crawling in to see what was going on.
At the sight of him I picked him up so that he could say hello to Black. Jonathan started to giggle and I smiled softly, he may have been my younger brother, but I truly felt like his mom at the moment.
The next two days I ignored Sirius and James, until, of course Christmas. When Christmas came I was basically forced to acknowledge them. I had been sleeping peacefully until someone poured ice cold water on me.
I woke up and punched whoever was in front of me with as much force as possible. It turned out to be Sirius, man wasn't I lucky?
Sirius stumbled backwards, rubbing his face, "Why me?" He said dramatically.
I laughed, "Are you okay?" I asked trying not to smile.
"I would be if you hadn't punched me so hard." He said with a pained expression.
I shrugged, "Well then you shouldn't have woken me up."
"Noted. Never wake Emily up." He said while nodding his head.
"I'm sorry, by the way, for jinxing Sni-Severus." He said cautiously.
I shook my head, "Does sorry fix anything?" I asked looking at him directly in the eye.
"No..." He mumbled softly.
We stood there in silence until James came in and grabbed both of our arms and dragged us downstairs. The place was absolutely beautiful, Mrs. and Mr. Potter had really out done themselves.
I grabbed all the presents I got for everyone and Sirius and James started at me in shock, "You got us something?" They both said quietly.
I shrugged, "I may be mad, but Christ was born today and he did forgive us so...I thought it was fitting." I said slowly.
Mrs. Potter smiled and we continued to open presents. I had gotten a new snitch for James (he sadly...well....lost his old one), I got a bone for Sirius and trust me the look on his face was priceless (I did eventually tell him that it was edible and he seemed to enjoy it after that), I got a cooking book (with ancient recipes) for Mrs. Potter, a muggle watch for Mr. Potter, and then, of course, a small blanket that I had found in our parents things for Jonathan.
As soon as I turned 17 the house and the belongings in it would belong to me (and Jonathan).
Mr. and Mrs. Potter had got me a bunch of sweets (you have know idea how thankful I was), James gave me this devotional book (I'm sorry to say that I forgave him after that) and then Sirius gave me a necklace with a simple, yet beautiful cross on it. I hugged them all (to Jame's and Sirius' surprise) and we decided to do a devotion in the book.
I looked around me and grinned...If only mom and dad were able to see this.
I truly was surprised how well this day went. What a Merry Christmas, and I truly, honestly believed it. God had so much in store for me and Jonathan, didn't he?
