Look Beside You (Completed)

Chapter 6

Staging a coincidence is really hard, especially if you are a bad actor.

Kimmon planned that Copter and Tee 'unexpectedly' meet at a store but with Copter's acting, everything was suspicious.

Kimmon asked Tee what his plans were before going to the diner and Tee told him that he would buy clothes. So Kimmon told Copter to buy new clothes, even though he did not need any as of the moment, and pretend as if they had the same tastes or something.

"Oh? Tee! I didn't expect to see you here!" Copter beamed awkwardly as he 'accidentally' picked the same shirt that Tee was about to pick.

Kimmon, who was hiding behind a shelf a few meters away from them, facepalmed.

"Oh hey Copter." Tee greeted and smiled back at Copter who was sweating a lot despite the cold air-conditioning in the store. "Are you okay?"

"I'm more than okay!" Copter replied as he wiped off the sweat on his face with his hands.

Kimmon chuckled on his own which made the other customers who passed by him think that he's lost it. How could he not laugh when Copter looked so funny getting all nervous in front of Tee? Kimmon wanted to show his support to the little guy by giving him a handkerchief but he figured now was not the right time to suddenly show up.

"By the way, I think we have the same taste when it comes to fashion, huh?" Copter said, the exact words that Kimmon had told him to say.

Kimmon chuckled again, a bit louder this time. Copter completely redefined awkwardness to a whole new level. Awkwardness became synonymous to cuteness. For Copter, awkwardness meant the highest level of cuteness.

"What do you mean? You like women's tops, Cop?" Tee asked.

Copter looked at the shirt he was holding on to and it was an off-shoulder crop top.

And that was it. Kimmon couldn't control it any longer and looked like a complete lunatic who was laughing nonstop all by himself. Kimmon thought he'd witness a boring romantic moment today but what Copter was giving him was a complete comedy sketch.

"I was planning to buy something for my niece and I thought that looked nice. What about you Cop?" Tee asked.

"Same! It's for my niece as well, hehehe." Copter replied and looked for somewhere he could disappear to.

"You have a niece?" Tee asked.

Copter wished that his brothers had children in order for him to be saved from this embarrassment, but there was none. Copter had always thought that he was so smart, the smartest in his class and his family, but right now his brain failed him. His brain was not functioning at all.

"Copter! Tee! What are you guys doing here?" Kimmon exclaimed, stepping into the scene.

"Kim! I told you last night remember? That I'd go to the store today." Tee replied.

Kimmon sighed and smiled and internally facepalmed at how his attempt of saving Copter did not actually save Copter at all. "Right. I forgot."

Although today's plan kinda failed, they still made Tee smile. Which was enough for the two.

"You guys are acting weird." Tee laughed and made Kimmon and Copter laugh as well.

Tee left the two at the store, saying that he suddenly had to drop by somewhere. The two waved him goodbye and when Tee was already out of sight, Copter let out a huge sigh and placed a hand on his chest.

Kimmon laughed as he took out his handkerchief and wiped the beads of sweat on Copter's forehead. "Not smooth at all, little guy."

"I'm a failure." Copter mumbled to himself, but loud enough for Kim to hear.

"No you're not. You're a cutie patootie." Kimmon said which made Copter turn his head to face the taller one and narrow his eyes at him.

Kimmon pinched Copter's cheeks and said "Don't worry. You looked adorably pathetic a while ago."

Copter had no idea if Kimmon was comforting him or insulting him. But one thing was for sure, he embarrassed himself in front of Tee.

"I'm hungry." Copter said with a cute pout on his face which made Kimmon want to pinch Copter's cheeks more but Kimmon feared that it might become saggy which will only harm Copter's adorable dimples. So he stopped himself before anything could get out of control.

"Let's head to the diner. You can eat your lunch there." Kimmon said as the two of them started to walk towards the exit.

"By the way, are you really fine with helping me? If I was in your place, I'd get really pissed watching the person I like getting all romantic with someone else." Copter uttered, which made Kimmon stop on his tracks.

Copter continued to walk but as soon as he noticed Kimmon wasn't walking beside him anymore, Copter realized how dumb that statement was.

'Of course he's not fine with that idiot, he likes Tee as well! What if he makes that sad look on his face again? Darn it Copter, you're so insensitive!' Copter thought to himself.

Copter slowly turned around, preparing himself to see a gloomy Kimmon, but to his surprise, Kimmon was laughing.

"What's funny?" Copter asked.

"Are you saying that getting accused by your crush of liking women's tops is romantic?" Kimmon asked as he placed his hands on his stomach and continued to laugh.

Just when Copter had almost forgotten all the humiliation he went through a while ago, Kimmon says that. Copter glared at Kimmon with very annoyed eyes which made Kimmon feel a shiver down his spine and caused him to stop laughing.

Kimmon cleared his throat. "I'm sorry. Don't worry Cop, I'm sure Tee found you cute as well."

That did not make Copter feel better at all. Copter let out a deep sigh until he realized that Kimmon has been calling him cute a lot this day.

Kimmon walked to Copter and faced him. He bended his knees to meet the little guy eye to eye.

Copter felt like his cheeks were on fire as he got caught off guard with Kimmon's face that was just about five inches away from him. Copter wanted to push him away but hesitated when he met with Kimmon's eyes.

"I just want to be a good friend to Tee. So don't worry about me." Kimmon said as he gently patted Copter's head and gave him a reassuring smile but Copter was not convinced at all.
