Kimmon wasn’t talking to him anymore and Bas had already figured why he was acting that way. But Copter had bigger problems. He was hungry.

Kimmon and Tae were supposed to be in charge with their lunch but since Kimmon said he wasn’t feeling well and wanted to just rest in his room, Tee replaced him. And that made everything worse. Tae and Tee were being so lovey-dovey that it was taking forever to cook their lunch.

“I knew it was a bad idea to come here.” Copter uttered to himself.

Bas looked at his brother whose face was full of misery. He knew that when his brother makes that face, he’s hungry. Bas also knew that when his brother’s hungry, dangerous things happen.

“Phi, I still have chips here. Want some?” Bas offered and yet his brother glared at him.

“Bas… what I want is real food.” Copter started, trying his best to calm down. “That’s not gonna fill my stomach. And can you please stop eating junk foods?!”

Bas flinched. Offering his food to him was probably a bad idea. While his brother was still talking, Bas looked around to find a place to hide if things get violent and Tae’s back was probably the safest place.

“You’ve finished five bags already! Have mercy on your stomach, okay? Listen Bas, why don’t you just leave me alone and tell your brother that we’re all hungry!”

Bas slowly nodded and stood up from his seat. “O-okay… phi…”

Copter raked his fingers through his hair and looked at the beach to calm himself. “I’m sorry Bas. I lost myself for a minute. I’ll… walk around for a while. Call me when lunch is ready.”

Copter left his brother and walked towards the beach. Fortunately, the sound of the waves somewhat relaxed the hungry boy. As Copter completely cooled down, he decided to sit on the seashore and feel the breeze, trying to forget all the problems that he currently had.

“Copter?”

Copter turned his head to look at the owner of the voice and saw the man that he least expected to see in the beach.

“Phi Godt?”

Copter’s poor state made Godt furrow his brows. “Why do you look like you’ve been starving for days?”

“Is this a coincidence? Were you following Bas?”

“Are you going to keep answering my questions with questions?"

“Do you have any food with you?”

Godt gave up. Their conversation was going nowhere.

“Here.” Godt said as he sat next to Copter and offered him a sandwich.

“Nice!” Copter immediately snatched the sandwich from Godt’s hand and shoved it into his mouth.

The sight of Copter eating was frightful. He looked like a very hungry wild animal and Godt feared that if the sandwich wasn’t enough, he’d get eaten next.

“Slow down, will ya?” Godt said and Copter did.

Copter stopped for a while to catch his breath. “Thanks phi.”

Godt chuckled and ruffled Copter’s hair. But when he sensed a somewhat weird aura coming from behind him, he slowly removed his hand from Copter’s hair and, with all the courage that he had, he looked back.

And when Godt did, he saw Kimmon, wearing a very scary expression on his face. “Ph-phi Kim… long time no see…”

“Hey Godt. What are you doing here?” Kimmon asked as he deepened his tone.

Godt swallowed and swept his hand across his forehead to get rid of the beads of sweat that were rapidly forming not because of the heat of the sun, but because of the terrifying man glaring at him. “I uh… came here with my friends… and then I saw Copter, so…”

“Why are you here, phi?” Copter asked in a sassy tone.

“I brought food coz I thought you might be hungry. Why?!” Kimmon replied.

Sitting between Copter and Kimmon felt so life-threatening that Godt felt like he was going to have a heart attack any minute. He came to the beach to have a good time but he found himself stuck in a very nightmarish situation. Godt wished for an angel to suddenly appear and save him from—

“Phi Cop, phi Kim!”

Godt turned his head to see the face of his savior and when he did, he may or may not have heard some angels sing in the background.

At the sight of his younger brother running towards them with an innocent smile, very oblivious of the situation, Copter immediately dragged Kimmon away by the arm.

“Hey, where are you going? Lunch is ready!” Bas shouted but the two were already far and he had no more energy to chase after them. Bas glanced to his side and saw a very familiar handsome face gawking at him. “Do I know you?”

“Copter where are we going?” Kimmon asked but got no answer. “Hey what’s wrong with you?”

“Phi Kim…” Copter started as he finally stopped walking and let go of Kimmon’s arm. And when he faced the senior, his heart was at it again. It was fluttering for the breathtaking guy standing before him as if he was never angry at him.

“Phi Kim, I wish you’d stop and realize just how much of a jerk you’re being.”

Kimmon’s chest felt heavy as his feet froze, his heart aching at the way the little guy looked at him.

“You’re just like your best friend. You do a few things that make my heart go crazy and then suddenly hurt me. I guess, no, I'm sure, I really like you. I like you more than phi Tee. Coz right now, I’m ten times more hurting than I was when I knew that phi Tee liked my brother.”

“Cop… I…”

“You know what, since you like helping me so much, please do me a favor and stop giving me false hopes. If you really care for me, then stop hurting me.”
