It was break time at Dreamboats’ diner and Kimmon was supposed to lay down and give a rest to his legs that stood and walked around all day. But instead, he was on his way to a café, as per Copter’s order.

“Why do you always keep me waiting?” Copter asked as soon as Kimmon took the vacant seat in front of him.

“You’re the one that suddenly called me, okay?” Kimmon replied.

“Whatever. Tell me, what do you think of this guy?” Copter said as he showed Kimmon his phone, displaying a picture of a tall guy, probably taller than Kim and Tae.

Kimmon looked at the picture with droopy eyes and replied “He looks like a model.”

“I know right! And he’s handsome too! You know I used to think that my brother was the most handsome until you showed up. And then I thought you were the most handsome but then I saw this guy.”

“Excuse me?” Kimmon said as he escalated the pitch of his voice, using up all the energy that he did not know he still had. “If I were to rate that guy’s handsomeness with ten being the highest, I say that that guy is only a nine and I’m eleven!”

Copter blankly stared at Kimmon as he wondered where on earth Kimmon gets all that confidence from.

“And who’s this guy, anyway? Are you cheating on Tee?” Kimmon asked as he took a sip from Copter’s coffee.

“Hey!” Copter shouted as he furrowed his brows and completely looked like an angry kitten. “That’s mine!”

Kimmon felt his tiredness wash away and he wasn’t quite sure if it was because of the coffee or Copter’s cute face. “Tsk, you should’ve bought something for me too. So, who’s he?”

“I forgot his name but he’s a student from my university. I saw him talking with Tee in a café near my house yesterday. Do you think they went on a date?”

“Yesterday?”

Tee has been absent at work since yesterday saying he was not feeling well so what on earth was he doing in a café with some stranger? Kimmon knew all of Tee’s friends and acquaintances and that guy was definitely not one of them.

Kimmon immediately took out his phone from his pocket and dialed Tee’s number.

“Hello? Tee? Where are you?”

“Huh? I’m in my room.” Tee mumbled on the other line, sounding as if he just woke up and making Kimmon feel bad for getting suspicious at his friend.

“Alright. Make sure to take a lot of rest.” Kimmon said and ended the call.

“Is he sick?” Copter asked.

Kimmon nodded in reply and took another sip from Copter’s coffee.

Tired of scolding Kimmon again, Copter just gave up and rolled his eyes at him.

“Do you want to visit him?”

Kimmon saw Copter’s face brighten and Kimmon couldn’t help but smile. Copter looked like a dog anticipating for a treat and Kimmon just wanted to pinch Copter’s cheeks but had no energy to.

After buying some porridge and fruits, since Copter didn’t want to go empty-handed, the two immediately went to Tee’s apartment.

Kimmon knocked even though he knew the passcode already, while Copter stood behind him, fidgeting with his clothes frenziedly.

Not wanting to knock for the fourth time, Kimmon entered the passcode himself, figuring that Tee might still be asleep. As soon as he opened the door, a shirtless Tee with messy bed hair welcomed him.

“Kim?” Tee said as his eyes widened.

“You might want to put a shirt on. I invited someone over.” Kimmon replied.

“Who?”

“Copter.”

“Copter?!” Tee shouted, which shocked Kimmon. Tee frantically picked up the clothes that were scattered on the floor and ran straight to his room.

“What happened?” Copter, who was still waiting outside, asked.

“He just got surprised, that’s all.” Kimmon said as he entered and Copter followed.

Kimmon looked around and wondered just how sick Tee was to make his place this messy. Tee was usually a tidy person and this was the first time that Kim saw Tee’s things in disarray.

As the two sat on the couch, Kimmon saw a familiar shirt next to the table. He was sure that it wasn’t Tee’s since Tee didn’t like to wear dark-colored shirts, but the shirt was so familiar that it bothered Kim a little.

As Tee, already wearing a shirt, came out from his room, Kimmon caught a glance of something. Something that bothered him a lot.

“Copter, what are you doing here?” Tee asked, his mouth curved into a tense smile.

“I heard you were sick so I got worried. Here, I brought some porridge and fruits.” Copter replied, handing Tee the food he bought.

“Thanks.”

“Tee looks really tired Cop so I think we shouldn’t bother him for long.” Kimmon said and stood up from his seat.

“Huh? But we just got here.” Copter uttered but Kimmon didn’t listen and dragged him out.

Copter grumbled as Kimmon continued to drag him until they got out of the apartment. Kimmon acted very suspiciously and Copter had no idea what was going on with him.

“What’s your problem?” Copter asked as soon as Kimmon let go of his hand.

Kimmon placed his hands on his pockets as he looked down and said “I just remembered that Tee doesn’t like to be bothered when he’s not feeling well. So I figured we should leave immediately so you won’t lose some points on him.”

Copter wasn’t buying it. Something was up. But Copter had trust in Kimmon. Copter figured that Kimmon must be doing this for a reason.

“Fine. Then I’ll leave now, I still have classes later in the evening. Bye.” Copter said and waved Kimmon goodbye.

Kimmon watched Copter walk away until he was totally far. Then Kimmon marched back to Tee’s place with heavy steps, wishing his hunches were all wrong.

As Kimmon got to the door of Tee’s room, he didn’t bother to knock and immediately entered the passcode. And when the door opened, Kimmon saw someone that he wished he saw wrong.

“I knew that was Tae’s shirt I saw a while ago. I remember giving it to him on his birthday.” Kimmon mumbled to himself as he walked into the room.

After that, three consecutive sighs were heard. Kimmon’s, Tee’s, and Tae’s.

Kimmon sat on the couch, crossed his arms, and narrowed his eyes at the two. “You guys have a lot of explaining to do.”
