Chapter 15

“Impossible.” Copter whispered under his breath for the tenth time today. “There’s no way. Definitely impossible.”

“What’s impossible?” Bas asked as he noticed his brother talking to himself.

It was a very hot and sunny day and the two were already on their third ice cream. Classes were cancelled for the both of them and so they decided on spending their time in a convenience store and eat all the cold sweets they could buy.

Bas was clearly enjoying but his brother was very out of it.

“Phi, what are you mumbling to yourself?” Bas asked again as he got no answer from his first question.

“Huh?”

“Is something bothering you?”

Copter bit his lip and looked at his brother. Yet instead of worrying about his problem, his brother’s face made him laugh. “Are you a kid? You got ice cream all over your face.”

“What about you? Go get a mirror phi. You look like you just ate someone with chocolate blood.” Bas replied.

Copter sighed and rolled his eyes. “If I find someone with chocolate blood then I’ll never share him with you.”

“Tsk. Selfish.”

The two fell silent as they focused on finishing their melting ice cream. Yet Copter’s mind was thinking of something else. Someone else, rather.

“Cop? Bas?”

The two turned their heads to see the owner of the familiar voice that called them. And not surprisingly, it was their eldest brother.

“Did you eat someone with chocolate blood?” Tae asked as he saw his brothers’ faces.

“Close.” Bas replied.

Tae walked towards his brothers as he took out a handkerchief from his pocket. He wiped Bas’ face first then Copter’s next. “You guys must be thinking you look cute with chocolate all over your faces.”

“Are we not?” Bas asked to which Tae nodded in reply.

“I think they looked very cute a while ago.”

Bas and Copter turned their eyes to the person standing behind Tae.

Copter should’ve expected it but still, his eyes widened.

“Hey Copter. Hey Bas.” Tee beamed as he waved his hand at the two.

“I agree with Tae. It wasn’t cute at all.”

Bas looked to his side and saw Kimmon, who came out of nowhere, already sitting next to him.

“Phi Kim, you’re here as well?” Bas asked and clung unto Kimmon’s arm.

“Obviously.” Kimmon replied as he squeezed the cheek of Bas who was acting like a cute kid that just saw his favorite uncle.

Copter instantly covered his face with his forearm as he felt his skin slowly heat up for heaven knows what reason. “The heck are you doing here?”

“Third wheeling.” Kimmon answered and immediately received a pinch on the side from Tee. “Ouch Tee, that hurt!”

“Shi… shit!” Copter exclaimed, awkwardly at that, and scratched the back of his head. “I uhh… I forgot that our umm… professor cancelled cancelling our classes! So I… gotta go. Bye!”

Tae, Tee and Bas watched Copter run off while Kimmon immediately chased after him. Copter ran as fast as he could but Kimmon was faster. Kim then grabbed Copter’s wrist as soon as he caught up to him.
