Although Kimmon’s vision was getting blurry, he could still see Copter looking at him like he understands his pain. Does he really?

Kimmon gritted his teeth and looked away from Copter, debating if he should tell his boyfriend everything about him. What if Copter would think that he’s a jerk? Kimmon hated his family a lot, of course Copter would think he’s a jerk.

Kimmon sighed deeply. This day had been very emotionally draining for him that he just wanted to sleep.

“You should go home and get some rest.” Copter spoke like he just read Kimmon’s mind.

“Okay” is all Kimmon replied.

Copter insisted that Kimmon should drive straight to his place. Copter could just take a cab to his house anyway. But the idea of Copter in a cab late at night, by himself at that, wouldn’t let Kimmon sleep so he drove Copter to his house instead.

“Make sure you get a lot of rest, okay?” Copter said before giving Kimmon one last look.

Kimmon gave him a weak smile in reply which Copter returned immediately. Although every single cell in Copter was telling him not to leave Kimmon alone, Copter went inside his house without looking back. Maybe it’s best that he give Kimmon some space for now.

Yet ten minutes had passed and Kimmon’s car was still outside Copter’s house.

Copter went out from his room to Kimmon’s car to check if he was either crying or sleeping. If it was the former, then Copter would find it hard to go back to his room. Lucky for him, Kimmon was doing neither. As Copter peeked through the window, he saw Kimmon blankly staring at the steering wheel.

“Phi, why are you still here?”

Kimmon stared at the wheel some more before turning to Copter who was already wearing his cute checkered pajamas.

“Phi Kim?”

“Can you sleep at my place instead?”

The question was startling (and tempting). Copter should have known better. Regardless of whether his boyfriend was crying alone in his car or not, Copter should have known that the moment he decided to check on Kimmon, he won’t be going back to his room.

If Copter’s memory served him right, the last time he was at Kimmon’s place was when he frantically walked out due to a severe panic attack. Copter shook his head as he pushed that embarrassing memory aside.

“Hey.” Kimmon called and to Copter’s surprise, he was already lying on his bed. Copter didn’t even see him enter his bedroom. Yet what shocked Copter more was Kimmon patting the space next to him, beckoning Copter over.

When Kimmon asked him to sleep at his place, Copter thought that they’d sleep in different rooms. Just like before.

It’s not the same as before, Copter realized. We’re boyfriends now.

“Why are you still standing there? Come here, I won’t eat you.” Kimmon said and the corners of his lips curled up ever so slightly that a normal person could miss it. But Copter didn’t.

And all the butterflies that were already going wild in his stomach suddenly passed out.

“Are you going to stand there forever?” Kimmon asked impatiently. “I just want to cuddle.”

Oh.

Was Copter disappointed? Of course not. Why would he be?  Well… maybe just a little.
