Chapter 22

Copter was probably the happiest when Kimmon became his boyfriend and the little boy wanted to brag to the whole world but what he was actually doing as of the moment was the opposite of bragging. He was hiding Kimmon from his brother.

"I'm sorry phi..." Copter started as he looked out of the window, afraid to look at his boyfriend directly into his eyes. "I'll tell him soon... Just give me time."

Just imagining Kimmon getting disappointed at him made Copter want to lock himself in his room and scream for hours. Copter was sure Kimmon got disappointed. He was even disappointed at himself.

Copter was getting lost in his thoughts until he feels his boyfriend's hand on his.

"Hey it's fine. Take your time." Kimmon said and reassured his boyfriend with a smile.

"Oh heavens." Copter uttered unconsciously. "What did I do to deserve an understanding boyfriend like you?"

Kimmon let out a chuckle and ruffled Copter's hair. "We deserve each other, and I'm not understanding. Why are you afraid to let your brother know anyways? I mean, he's also dating a guy."

"I'm not afraid of how he'll react when he knows I'm dating a guy. I'm afraid of how he'll react when he knows I'm actually dating." Copter answered in defense.

Kimmon's eyebrows drew together as he paused for a while, trying to understand what Copter had meant.

"My brother can be overprotective sometimes. Whenever he knows someone likes me or Bas, he'll creep out that someone."

"Creep out in what way?"

Copter looked at Kimmon's face for a while, lowkey sending Kimmon signals that he's about to know his friend's weird side.

"He interrogates them. He stalks them, not just on social media but like everywhere they go. And sometimes.... he gives death threats to them..."

Copter internally facepalmed at how weird his brother actually was. If Kimmon was to break up with him because of this, Copter considered kicking his brother in the balls.

"I see..." Kimmon replied in a whisper, but audible enough for Copter to feel nervous.

"Are you going to break up with me?" Copter said, in the cutest way possible, trying to make it hard for Kimmon to say yes. Not that he was actually planning to.

"Why are you making a cute voice all of a sudden?" Kimmon asked, his ears starting to get warm.

"To make up for my brother's weirdness." Copter replied, although he was already cringing and dying on the inside. "Is it working?"

"If your plan is to make me fall for you all over again, it's working. And I don't think he's weird. He's scary. There's a difference. Nonetheless, I think it's what brothers do." Kimmon replied as he tried to sound convincing even if he knew nothing about being a brother.

Copter's entire body flooded with relief and he felt tears forming in the corner of his eyes. "Are you my boyfriend or are you an angel?"

Copter was complimenting Kimmon more than usual today and it was starting to make Kimmon shy and scared at the same time. Before Copter could notice the blush on his face, Kimmon immediately changed the topic. "You're going to be late."

As they both got out of the car, the smiles on their faces started to fade. Copter didn't want to go to school. He wanted to go on a long drive with his boyfriend and maybe spend the entire day together. Kimmon wanted the same.

"Bye." Copter weakly uttered with an adorable pout on his face.

"Why are you pouting like that? Do you want a kiss before you go?" Kimmon asked and hoped for a yes from Copter.

But Copter was too flustered to say yes or to even give a nod. Not that he didn't want to. But Copter thought Kimmon should have asked that when they were still in the car.

Kimmon smirked and thought that maybe he should go easy on Copter today. "See you later Copter."

And with that, Copter instantly turned around and walked away. He wanted to look back but he wasn't sure if it was healthy for his heart. What if he's still there smirking at me? Will I even make it to my first class?  Copter really tried hard to fight the urge of looking back, but not even a minute after, he looked back.

But Kimmon wasn't looking at him anymore. He was talking to someone else.

Copter walked back and tried to get a closer look of the stranger his boyfriend was talking to. And to his surprise, his face looked familiar.

He was tall, but Kimmon was taller. He was handsome, but Kimmon was more handsome. But strangely, they looked somewhat alike.

"Where have I seen this guy before?" Copter whispered under his breath.

But what bothered Copter more than the guy's familiar face and his similar features with his boyfriend, was the tension between him and Kimmon. Kimmon's shoulders were hunched and Copter noticed that he was clenching his fists tightly. Copter felt that Kimmon was afraid and he didn't like that.

Classes had ended for the day and it was starting to get dark. Tonight was going to be another sleepless night. Copter had a lot of projects to finish up and he thought he needed caffeine in his system.

As Copter entered the coffee shop, his sleepy eyes immediately widened at the sight of the stranger that Kimmon was talking to this morning, sipping his coffee in the corner with lots of papers on his table. Copter didn't even know he was already staring intensely at him until Tee came.

"Why are you staring at nong Mean like you want to kill him? Don't forget he's your boyfriend's brother, okay?"

Copter almost jumped because of Tee. But what shocked him more was what Tee had just said. "He's phi Kim's brother?"

"You didn't know?" It was Tee's turn to get shocked. He bit his lip and rubbed the nape of his neck, feeling somewhat regretful of what he did. "Maybe I shouldn't have said that."

"Why?"

Tee didn't want to spill any more beans but the look on his face made Copter more curious than he already was.

"That's it. I'm spying on him." Copter said but before he could go any nearer to Kimmon's brother, Tee grabbed Copter's wrist.

"I think Kimmon wouldn't like that." Tee spoke, cold sweats starting to form on his forehead.

"I sure don't like your snow-white hand on my boyfriend's adorable baby hand."

Tee and Copter turned their heads to see Kimmon crossing his arms and glaring at Tee. "What would your boyfriend say if he sees this, my friend? Now explain why the two of you are in a coffee shop at six in the evening, holding hands."
