As Lena promised, she came over after her meeting with breakfast.

"You didn't have to."

"I know but I wanted to. I can't have my girlfriend starving."

You gave her a smile and walked up to kiss her, completely surprising her.

"You paid the full package and that's what you'll get. Besides it'll help us practice so we're not kissing in public like two horny teenagers. That'll be embarrassing."

"Oh right. Breakfast first and then we start packing."

"Sounds good."

She was still surprised about the kiss but didn't show it as she unpacked the contents of the breakfast bag.

"I wasn't sure what you wanted so I got you practically just about everything in the menu."

"Well I'm fine with whatever but this is good. Thank you Lena."

You were right about Lena. She was what you needed. Lena was attentive, caring and sweet. Not like any of those men that you had dated in your past. This was a nice change even if she was paying for you to be her girlfriend. She could've easily taken advantage of you for that, lots of men tried and you were just grateful that everything was going by so smoothly.

"Right. So lets get started. How are we going to announce to the media about how we got together?"

"I was thinking that since you're still in college, that maybe you had come to interview me as an assignment. Seems reasonable enough and people won't question it."

"Sounds good to me. We can add in that you just couldn't stop thinking about me and wanted to know more about me so you called me to go out on a date with you."

"Okay! We have that settled. What about if they ask why we're suddenly going public."

"Well as you said, you're moving your headquarters to National City and me being the supportive girlfriend, wanted to follow you."

"That sounds romantic. The media will just eat that up. Maybe I'll have a formal interview so the story will be controlled by us."

The two of you continued discussing more about what will happen once you moved to National City until eventually the both of you were full.

"Shall we pack your things then?"

You laughed, finding the way she would talk cute.

"I don't have much so it shouldn't take us long. Have you already packed?"

"Well I don't have any personal possessions. Mainly just expensive furniture and clothes but I can just buy that in the city. I'll hire some people to pack up my things and send them to me."

You had no idea what to say. You felt bad as you heard about how she didn't really have anything  personal. So the rumors were true. The youngest Luthor, was truly alone. It made your heartache and your guilt grow bigger.

"Maybe I can join you in on your shopping spree. I would love to pick out some of your outfits. I've always liked dressing up others."

Lena smiled at the thought of going out with you.

"I would love that. Sometime soon then."

Soon after, you began to pack. Making sure not to take a lot of things to Lena's place. Sure, she kept on insisting that it was fine and to bring everything that you wanted but you didn't want to overrun her apartment with your things so you only took pictures of your family and other personal things.

A few hours later and everything was already in boxes, separated into two piles. One for them to be donated and another for you to take.

"Are you sure that you want to donate everything? I really don't mind if you just bring everything with you."

"I'm sure. It's mostly just junk anyways and I'm moving to a new city. New city, new me."

Lena laughed at your antics. She wasn't sure what was real and what was pretend. It was confusing but she kept remembering that this was all a business transition. Lena was just simply paying you to be her fake girlfriend and she needed to remind herself of that.

"Well I'll call a company to come pick all of this up and should arrive with my things in a couple of days. Are you all set to go or would you still like another day?"

"Wait we're already leaving?"

"Unfortunately, yes. I have a press conference the day after tomorrow and I still need to confirm some plans. You can stay for another day, if you'd like but I was hoping you could be with me at the conference."

"Lena, I'm leaving with you. I already said my goodbyes to my friend so there's no reason for me to stay here another day. Plus, you don't have to ask me if I want to go to certain events. You just tell me the time and place and I'll be there. That's why you're after all paying me."

Lena cleared her throat and nodded. It sucked that the only reason why someone was even with her was because she was paying them. She wasn't as horrible as her brother, was she?

You noticed her change in mood and walked over to her.

"Hey, are you okay Lena? Did I say something wrong."

She forced a smile and shook her head.

"Not at all. Just remembering some things. Lets head out. The jet should be ready for us to leave."

The drive to the airport was quiet despite your best attempts to get her to talk. It wasn't until the two of you strapped in on the plane that she began to talk.

"I've never been the biggest fan of flying. It's why I was so quiet."

You gave her a smile and removed your seatbelt so you could sit besides her. You took her hand and gently squeezed it.

"Well now you have me. I'll help you with your fear of flying."

Lena looked down at your interlocked hands, getting that similar feeling she would get with someone that she had fallen in love with years ago. This was not good.

"Thank you, (y/n)."

"Anytime, Lena."

After her first plane ride, Lena had been taking medication to deal with her fear of flying. Today, she found that she didn't need it this time.
