Alrighty lets get this rant started I dont really have much of an intro for it. So lets begin!
Judgmental people are people who if they see, hear, or read something then they will automatically jump to conclusions about whatever the object, appearance, action, sound, or statement is. A judgmental person would say "oh she has black hair and purple highlight she is soooo emo". "he has a scratch on his car he is so ghettooo". "She cant afford the latest phone she is sooo ratchet". All of these are judgmental opinions. None of which have actual evidence. Everyone has their own style, opinion, taste, and hobbies. People should ask questions before jumping to conclusions.
A girl told me that because i own Bearded Dragons (in case you didnt know a bearded dragon is a lizard from Australia) That I am a freak and that I am anti-social. Ok so first of what does she define as a freak? I still acted like me before she knew I had lizards and she didnt think I was a freak. Why am I a freak all of the sudden now that you know I have lizards? Lizards are FUCKING AWESOME! People think that because bearded dragons have these small spikes on them that they are mean and hurt if you touch them. For a Bearded dragon the spikes 90% of the time DO NOT HURT. The are actually soft. Their scales are soft and they are adorable. They are very nice if you have been nice to them and they usually enjoy being held. Bearded Dragons that are raised in captivity do not have any germs that can make you sick (unless they were raised in bad conditions) I bathe my beardies weekly which is more than most people bathe their dogs or cats! And dogs and cats are usually outside all the time and getting dirty and all that. My bearded dragons dont live outside because it gets too cold and there is no where in my backyard that could keep them from running away and then getting eaten by a hawk. I keep them in a terrarium (basically a lizard fish tank that you dont put water in) and they are not exposed to any germs that people arent so they are clean as well. When they poop I clean it so they are not sitting in poop which means they are not dirty or stinky. I take them outside every now and then so that they get healthy sun rays that pretty much ALL animals need. Im going to stop myself there about bearded dragons so that Im not giving you a documentary on them.
Some of my friends thought that because I am Christian that I would tell them they are sinners and shit because some were bi, some were lesbian, and because of that they thought I would be throwing bibles at them. Some people were surprised that I am Christian because of how accepting I am.
This is also kinda attached to stereotypes.
Judging isnt such a great thing and 80% of the time is not necessary. So get to know a person before you judge them. Ask questions! Some questions however are rude to ask. Kinda the reason that I have never asked someone if they are cutters, i never ask people what their sexuality is I wait for them to say it, I pretty much NEVER judge. Courtroom is the only place I can think of off the top of my head where judging is appropriate.
