Alrighty Well lets get through this rant quick and easy without hurt feelings. You can choose to get hurt by the rant or choose to learn from it. Whatever you decide is up to you. So lets get started!
Shipping. No this is not the kind of shipping where you send something from one location to another this kind of shipping (most of wattpad is familiar with) is where someone (a fan) will take two characters from the same or two different stories, movies, tv shows, anime,Youtube, etc. and put them into a relationship of some sort with each other.
SHIPPING IS NOT ALWAYS A BAD THING
Shipping can be a fun activity to do. It can bring fans together to get there "Awwwww" and "How cute!" and "that was such a great story!" But the problem with shipping is like on any topic some people take it too far. (will explain)
When people ship two characters together I have demands from the ship. They aren't too challenging... But for god sake people... The ship HAS TO MAKE SENSE! It doesn't matter if I dont like the ship Because I can like almost any ship if it
1) Makes sense.
2) Has a good love story.
3) has some sort of conflict and isn't pure lovey dovey.
4) has some character development.
5) doesn't drag out too long.
6) doesn't get too sexual
7) LIMITS ANY ABUSE IN THE RELATIONSHIP to a minimum. (Looking at you Creepypasta ships)
I don't look at ships often because they lack these 7 things. I don't even care if it is a gay ship I WILL READ IT IF IT HAS THESE 7 REQUIREMENTS.
