As Melody got off a cab, she glanced on both sides of the road and then crossed to the other side. Was she being followed? after yesterday's chase, she was definitely sure that someone was out to get her.
It was now fifteen minutes after ten, a little bit late, she thought as she walked into the court and before the elevator could close, a voice came from behind.
"Excuse me, please hold it!"
And just as she was about to hold it, Melody realized that the guy calling out was actually the same guy she saw yesterday and now with a suspicious bulge in his leather, she panicked and quickly let the lift close before he could get in.
"Dammit!" the guy with a black leather jacket and gloves hissed and then reached for his cellphone.
"Boss.. she got away" he reported

"Help me, please help me!!" Melody screamed as soon as the elevator opened
"Hey, slow down and tell me what's going on" a police constable passing by came to her aid and after taking a deep breath, Melody saw Daniel passing by and then left the constable and ran after Daniel.
"I thought we had a deal" she tugged at Daniel
"Hey, what are you doing?" Daniel frowned
"You bastard! you hired someone to kill me didn't you?" Melody said in a heartbeat
"What? are you high?" Daniel chuckled unaware how serious she was actually being.
"Oh drop thee act, I've been followed around ever since meeting with you yesterday" she said irritably
"Don't be ridiculous now, I need you alive not thee other way 'round" Daniel hit back
"Oh? so who wants me dead then?" Melody asked anxiously
This was getting too heavy for her, what at first seemed like a easy meal ticket for her was now turning out to be her worst nightmare.
"That's the million-dollar question girl" Daniel said and then it hit him, the SMS, it had to be the same people.
"Daniel!" Melody yelled
"What? I'm trying to think here, hey are you sure about this?" Daniel asked
"Positive, it was the same guy that chased me yesterday, I'm positive about it" she replied
"Dammit! I think someone is after you  too but how'd they know?" Daniel asked dumbfounded
"Wait a minute, you also being followed?" she almost panicked
"I'm not quite sure but I think we pissed somebody, somebody who wants Van Oosten behind bars, tell me who really hired you?" Daniel asked glancing around
"Nkosi-Miller" she replied calmy
"No, somebody else is pulling the strings here, somebody more powerful than her" Daniel shrugged
"What? Oh my God I'm beat, I'm a goner!" Melody sobbed
"Not yet, don't cry we'll figure it out hey" Daniel hugged her and as if the hug was fuel to fire, Melody cried a river.

"Cosy hey Daniel, look case is about to be called, and my guy and the flats didn't find our witness" Darren said as he appeared
"Wow it never stops does it? come girl let's go in" Daniel said and Melody followed.
