"Mama, I want to go too. You promised me to not leave me alone! Why can't I go too?" Haruka cried as she stomped her feet on the ground. Everyone in the guild was watching the scene with a heavy heart, seeing the usual bubbly young girl was crying.
Rae crouched down and caressed her cheeks. "Haruka, I'm sorry but I can't bring you with me. It's too dangerous for you." She wiped the tears on Haruka's cheeks. The bright pink haired girl just cried louder, shaking her head.
She tried to plead her mother to let her go as well but Rae just shook her head.
"What if you don't come back? What if you follow onee-chan? Mama, what if you leave me like my dreams? What if there's a bad dragon hurt you?" Haruka pushed her hands away as she stomped her feet.
She knelt down and cried on her knees. Rae bit her lip as she heard her daughter. Haruka had been dreaming about a black dragon lately. She told her that the black dragon was bad and he killed people.
Rae shared a look with her friends. Lucy stepped forward and crouched down, trying to persuade the girl. Haruka just screamed at her to stay away. Bella let out a sigh and walked to her.
"Haruka, you don't have to cry. Mama will be off only for a few days. We all will be coming back. Look at her. She's sad. Mama is a strong mage and she needs to be there. But she needs someone to be here and protect Fairy Tail. Could you do that?"
The bright pink haired girl lifted her head and blinked away her tears, looking at the brown haired girl who was looking down. Haruka then looked down on her feet, feeling guilty for making her mother sad. Happy went to her and agreed with Bella.
"Why don't you stay here and make her proud by protecting this guild? You're strong so you can your protect Fairy Tail until we're coming back."
Natsu and Gray shared a grin when Haruka got up and headed to her mother. Rae was lost in thoughts when she felt someone had pulled her sleeve. The girl looked down and saw her daughter.
"Mama, I'm sorry for making you sad. I love you. I love you so much, Mama. I promise to take care of Fairy Tail. I promise to behave." Rae smiled softly as she listened to her promising to be good. She got down and wrapped her arms around the bright pink haired girl.
"I love you too, Haruka. I promise I'll be be back. It's only for a while so don't miss me a lot."
Rae kissed her on forehead and nose causing her to let out cute giggles. Lucy watched both mother and child with a warm smile. "Promise me you will beat that black dragon?" Haruka held out her pinky finger. Rae laughed and nodded her head, intertwining her finger with hers.
She put her forehead on hers, closing her eyes. "I love you, Haruka. I love you more than anything. You are my happiness and you are my life. Be good to Bisca and Alzack okay?" Haruka nodded her head, saluting her. Rae stood up and looked at Bisca and Alzack with a small smile.
"We will take care of her. Don't worry." Bisca assured her. The brown haired girl nodded and warned the pair not to marry each other until they came back. The green haired girl looked away with her cheeks were tainted pink and Alzack rubbed the back of his head, awkwardly.
"If you miss me, go to the port and called out my name, okay?" Rae looked at Haruka with a heavy heart. The small girl grinned and gave her a big thumbs up.
"Come back, Mama. Don't go to the sky! I love you, Mama." Rae kissed her cheeks and ruffled her hair.
I love you, Haruka.
