"Blaire-sama, where are you going?"

The blonde girl froze on her step and bit her tongue, scolding herself internally before tuning around only to see Hisashi standing there with his arms were crossed on his chest. The girl clicked her tongue and put a finger to he lips, signalling him to be quiet. Her toes hopped to the door and Hisashi made a face at the heiress of Heartfilia clan.

Blaire tiptoed outside and breathed out in relief, snapping her head to the left to glare at the man. "Damn it, Hisashi. I just want to take a night stroll around."

"It's already late night, miss."

"And that's why I call it a night stroll. You can go back now."

Hisashi shook his head, saying it's not appropriate for him to leave her taking a walk at night alone. Blaire stared at him with a disbelieved look and reminded that she could take care of herself just right. After many reasons and excuses, finally he let her go on one condition, she should be back before the clock hit 2 a.m.

The girl nodded her head carelessly and waved her hand at him before jumping over the gate and she landed gracefully on the ground. She pulled the cloak tighter around her body and covered her blonde hair. She made her way to the town, roaming her eyes around to check on the townspeople.

There were many beggars slept on the floor and her heart shattered at the sight. Some of them were holding back their eyes from sleep because they needed to take care of the kids. Blaire softened her eyes and walked to a woman who was cradling a baby in her arms. "Ma'am, what happened?"

The lady raised her head and told her about their houses were burnt to ashes and they lost everything. Money, clothes, belongings. They didn't have a place to sleep and they even had tried to ask for a help from the Council but the help would be provided in two days later for some reasons. Blaire sighed to herself and caressed the baby on the cheek gently.

She had to help them.

"Could you please wake all of them? I'll take you to a guesthouse." The woman widened her eyes and shook her head, saying there's no need for her to help them. They could just stay there for another two days. "It's alright, ma'am. I insist. I couldn't just let you sleep here. What about the kids? They must be cold and hungry."

Blaire held her hand softly and told her to wake them all as she took the baby in her arms. Cooing to the baby, the blonde girl walked to a guesthouse that would fit for 20 people and rented rooms for them. The receptionist nodded her head and gave her the keys, writing down her orders on a paper.

"And could you prepare meals and clothes for them? Just send me the bills and I'll pay for it."

The receptionist looked at the beggars and Blaire with a nod, making a call to the owner to inform him. Blaire left the counter and invited the poor people to come in, smiling all the time as they thanked for her generosity. The girl handed the baby to her mother, making all of them struck in awe at the teenager for being kind at such young age.

"What's your name, dear?" The lady asked as she rocked her baby back and forth gently. Blaire suppressed a smile and introduced herself, bowing down slightly when they praised Heartfilia family for having a kind daughter. The girl waved her hand and told them to have a good sleep before excusing herself.

Scrunching her nose cutely at the cold air, the girl sneezed lightly and rubbed her palms together to feel the heat. She was heading to the forest, needing some privacy time with nature. During the night, the forest grew still like a machine that's powered down. The moon reflected the light from the sun straight to the forest and fell over it like a velvet blanket.
