The Dark Enchantress curled the corner of her lips and accelerated to him, giving the Underworld King a side smirk as he turned to his true form. She ignored him being cocky about his newfound power and punched his face through his iron suit. This was the final battle and Rae teamed up with Natsu and Gray against him who had entered his Etherious form.

The Underworld King blocked their attacks with his hands, immediately unleashed a massive thorn attack, which gave the girl a chance to hit him on the back. Rae teleported behind him and blasted a powerful move, distracting him long enough for her to grab his neck and ground him into stone. Gray and Natsu easily dominated him as Mard Geer was weakened by Rae's attack but he managed to recover and dodge every single attack that the boys threw at him.

Natsu tried to use his Fire Dragon's Brilliant Flame but he was still uninjured. Gray destroyed his thorn attack and created gungnir with his ice magic, surprising Mard Geer when he destroyed it, only to find Natsu and Rae hid inside. "Natsu, now!" The Fire Dragon Slayer attacked him once again with his fire dragon slayer magic and was supported by Rae's raging breath, sending the Tartaros member to the ground.

The Underworld King suppressed a chuckle. "Long ago, magic was born as one. Eventually, it developed into a great number of varieties. During that historical time, END discovered a new possibility for magic. Curse power. The sources of that power are curses, grudges, jealousies, hatreds. All of those negative emotions became power. Power based on the essence of life." He lifted his hand and they were surrounded by dark spirits.

Natsu and Gray frantically looked around them, their bodies were swallowed up by its darkness, leaving Rae smirked to herself then the girl snapped her fingers while Mard Geer reverted to his human form. He remarked upon his perfected Curse before stating that all that remained was END's revival. However, it was quickly revealed that those spirits were snarling at him and broke the brunt of his Memento Mori.

"What-what's happening?" His eyes widened in disbelief and the boys looked at each other confusedly. The blonde girl licked her canines and demanded the souls to devour him, showing Mard Geer who's in control now. She was controlling those spirits and clearly she could do whatever she liked with them.

"You're forgetting one thing. You're not the ruler of Underworld! I am!" Rae clasped her hands together and overwhelmed the demon with his significantly enhanced dark magic while Gray took the chance to demonize half of his body and rose, delivering unto him his Ice Devil's Zeroth Destruction Bow with Natsu landed his Crimson Lotus Phoenix Blade.

They defeated him once and for all. As he fell to the ground, Rae quickly teleported to him and grabbed his neck, burying her claws in the flesh while smirking at his vulnerable face. "You are not worthy to be the King of Underworld. Introducing to you, Rae King, the Queen of Underworld." Mard Geer held a shocked look on his face and cradled his arm after she slammed him to the ground.

The girl turned around and found herself sighing with a shaking head, witnessing both of them were fighting over END's book which Natsu was requested by Igneel to steal it and do nothing. Meanwhile, the ice mage said he had to destroy it. "Stop quarreling you idiots! We have bigger problems here! Face, remember?" The blonde girl showed them that Face bombs across the continent slowly began to detonate. Then, descended Igneel from the sky with a wounded Acnologia.

He told them not to give up hope as Magic was removed from various areas. Rae looked at her hands as she felt suddenly weak. She then sensed a powerful magic power across the continent and heard loud roars. "The unleashed dragons are dancing in the sky over Ishgar." Natsu raised his head and looked at his father figure with a proud smile. The dragons were there and they destroyed all the Faces bombs. Rae smiled to herself gratefully and fixated her eyes on a book in Gray's hand.
