The Lion Guard: Scar attacks (discontinued)

A gruesome discovery

The title already said it, but this will be a more dark chapter. Just so you're warned.

"No crocodiles, no crocodiles, no crocodiles." Zuri kept murmuring those lines over and over again, while the guard was on patrol at the border of the pridelands. "Why not?", Tiifu asked her. They were a little behind the rest of the guard, so they could talk alone.

"I don't like crocodiles. They are scaly, big and mean. And they drown you in water.", Zuri replied. "There isn't any water anywhere around us.", Tiifu said. "They could try to drown us in the sand.", Zuri said. Tiifu chuckled and answered: "I think you got a little paranoid, since we joined the guard." "Of course. Why wouldn't I? We could get attacked every single moment, two hyenas want revenge on us, we are having the patrol very close to the outlands everyday and because I'm pretty nervous about all of these things, I don't get a lot of sleep lately."

"You're right.", Tiifu admitted. "It's quite stressful. I didn't get much sleep as well." (Seriously, I think I mention sleep/the lack of sleep in every chapter. Freddy Krueger might show up, if I go on like this.) "Yeah, and all the stuff is terrible for my fur. It has gotten a lot worse, since I started with the guard." "Did you at least get used to the symbol of the guard?", Tiifu asked her. Zuri looked at her shoulder and sighed. She shook her head. "Not really, but it's difficult, to get a good look at it, so I can't tell for sure." "Well, only a little more then two weeks and it will be gone and we will be able to spent more time with Kiara again.", Tiifu said and only thinking about this, relaxed both of them.

"We're falling behind. Let's speed up a little.", Zuri said and they walked faster, to catch up to the rest of the guard. Everyone was silent for a while. Then Ono flew down to the rest of the guard. "Something is odd.", he told Kion. "I haven't seen any of the outlanders. Not even the vultures seem to be patroling the sky today." "They're not at the volcano?", Kion asked. "No, they're not. At least not on the outside. Except they are on the other side of the volcano, but because of the terrain, that is very unlikely.", Ono replied. "Well, today is a hot day, so maybe they decided to stay in the caves, that are in the volcano.", Beshte started guessing.

"Or maybe, they are somewhere else.", Kion said. "Ono, there not somewhere in the pridelands, right?" Ono took a quick glance, then he answered: "No. No outlanders to see in the pridelands. We surely would have spotted them anyway, if they would have tried to sneak in the pridelands." "They surely got scared of us and ran far away.", Bunga said. "That would be nice. Then this would finally be over.", Zuri said. "That sounds even more unlikely, than them hiding in very steep terrain.", Ono said and took another look, to the outlands.

"Hapana.", he suddenly yelled. "I see them. All of them. The hyenas, jackals, crocodiles and the vultures as well. They are all together and on the move." "Hevi Kabisa. Where are they heading?", Kion asked. "That's the odd thing. They aren't heading for the pridelands, but they are definately heading somewhere. But where exactly, I can't tell."

"Where could they be going?", Beshte wondered. "Why should we care.", Zuri said. "They're not coming to the pridelands, so we can just let them be." "Oh no.", Kion gasped. His eyes widenend and his expression was one, of pure shock. "What is it, Kion?", Beshte asked.

"There is only one thing, they could be looking for, in the outlands.", Kion explained. "And this one thing, is Jasiris clan. They must have found out, where they are hiding. We must warn them now." He started running into the outlands and the others followed him. "Who's Jasiri?", Tiifu asked, who was running next to Kion. "She's a hyena, who respects the circle of life. She and her clan have been a great help, dealing with the outlanders. Unfortunately, they had to go into hiding, after they were attacked. We haven't heard from them since."
