The Lion Guard: Scar attacks (discontinued)

The pridelands have fallen

The outlanders had ravaged through the pridelands for most of the night. As they started running out of targets and with daylight only a short time away, all of them started slowly gathering at Pride Rock. They had carried some carcasses from the dead pridelanders with them, so they could feast on them.

The outlanders overall were in a good mood. It was obvious, that the pridelanders had suffered a huge blow and had been sent running.
The vultures swoped in from above and landed on some branches. Mzingo looked at the other members of the parliament.
"Gentlemen, I think Scar will be quite satisfied with the result of our actions." The others nodded. Despite having been attacked, they still dropped their fire sticks on time and over the correct areas.

Janja arrived shortly after with his clan. He immediately began tearing into an antilope, that two of his hyenas had carried over. He and his boys had performed pretty well. Taking out Rafiki, who possibly could be a nuisance or even a threat to Scar, helping Zira with Simba's pride and then attacking some of the panicked herds. Scar surely would want to know about Kion's problem with the roar. Janja was kind of disappointed, that he didn't take out Kion himself, but maybe someone else had done it and if not, that could still be arranged.

Reirei and her jackals may have not taken out any important targets, but they had disrupted the herds pretty effectively. They and the others as well, to an extent, had killed most leaders of the herds and without them, the herds themselfes had been easy pickings.

Makkucha and his friends joined the outlanders in the meal, though they were a little hesitant, to do so. They didn't have the best opinion about their temporary allies. But after being offered the opportunity, to take out the lion guard, they had decided to give it a go. They had been the first to enter the pridelands this night, serving as scouts, taking out possible targets and confusing the pridelanders with their unexpected presence. Makkucha had taken out the leader of the wildebeests, but also missed two opportunities, to take out an martial eagle, which had kind of frustrated him. On the other hand, he had found a way more important target and killed him.

The lionesses of Zira's pride were also mostly happy. After being cast out, for remayning loyal to Scar, they had gotten payback and had driven the pridelanders out. Kovu and Nuka also arrived at Pride Rock, but they had not managed, to get the expected results. When they spotted Vitani, who was to the side and all alone, they rushed over to her, to make sure, that she was alright.

Zira, meanwhile, was fuming. She was furious, that Kiara had been able to escape, when she had been so close to killing her. She had been so close to completing her revenge and the opportunity had been taken from her. Stupid tree, blocking her path. She was pacing all over the place and everyone kept some distance to her.

Then there was Jasiri. She kept to her own and refused to eat anything. She simply layed down onto the ground and remained quiet. Her mind was occupied by a lot of conflicting thoughts. She tried, to push them away. It was to late, to change her opinion now. She had to accept that.

Suddenly, a small flame on Pride Rock shot up high into the air and Scar appeared in it. Everyone turned their attention to their leader.
"I see, Pride Rock has indeed been taken. My plan was succesful", he said and laughed. Then he looked at his army and frowned. "Where are Kiburi and his float?", he asked. The outlanders looked at each other and shrugged, as they didn't have an answer. Most of them assumed, that they were simply late.
"Last I saw them, was, when we had attacked Makuu and his float", Janja responded. "After that, they pursued them, while we went after the mandrill."
"They joined us, when we attacked the herds. But we got separated in the fighting and I didn't see them again afterwards", Reirei continued. "I probably heard Kion's roar some time after though", she added.
"Mzingo, look for them with your vultures! You know his planned route", Scar ordered. The vultures nodded and took off. "While we wait for them to return, I want to know, what you managed to achieve", he continued.
