Alyssa's father walking into the house and sees his four year old daughter infront of the tv dancing and singing along to elmo.
"Daughter" her dad yelled
"Daddy" lyssa yelled back causing her father to smile and laugh with her.
She ran into his arms and gave him six kisses on each cheek and he did the same. It was something they did daily so It wasn't weird to them.
"Whea ya momma at big head? "
"Kitchen little head"she said giggling.
"So now I'm little head? " he laughed while tickling her.
"Stop daddy" she said laughing and moving around. "You no little head kay? " she said with her hands out.
"It's not a little head ,now gimme kisses and hugs. "
And that's what she did before running to her room. He dad walked in to the kitchen so see his wife cleaning up.
"When you gonna leave that shit... "
"Baby I told you soon but right now isn't the time"
"Seems like never is the right time. Kevin you have a four year old girl who needs her father, and a wife who needs her husband." She stopped cleaning and kept her back towards him. "I don't wanna loose you too the streets, you have people that needs you. " she yelled while crying.
"Alright. " he said in defeat. "I'll leave it but babe just know I'll always be by y'all side no matter what happens. Just know I love you. "
"I love you too" she said still in tears while hugging him.
Once lyssa heard her mother yelling she came and sat on the stairs and started listening to them talk. She always loved when she heard them say I love you because she knew they ment it. Once she heard her father's footsteps she hurried and rushed to her room. A couple minutes later she heard her door opened and her fathers head popped in.
"Hey bug. "
"Daddy! " she yelled and jumped on him. It was no doubt that she was a daddy's girl.
"Bug I need to talk to you, there is gonna be a time where im not around. And I want you too know that I never stopped loving you." He knew how he would die,just not the time.
"I love you too daddy, can you tell me a story momma said i got to go to bed."
He climbed into bed with her, held her in his arms and told her a story like he did every night. When she was alseep he kissed her head and tucked her in. After that he left her room and walked into the room where his wife was sleep and kisses her head, then left. He was gonna try to leave the gang. Once he arrived the the place he was going he got out.
"Aye T come hea real quick"
A tall slim dark-skinned brown eyes puffy hair man came out of the house
"Speak"
" I ain't doin this no more. "he threw him the bag with the money inside. "Dats my cut I'm done. " then he turned his back and heard shots go off. He looked down at his body and seen blood, finally falling to the ground he watched them run away. He knew his life was over but he seen a little boy come up to him crying and trying to help him. Someone came up to him while screaming on the phone sayin help he been shot. He never knew that Little boy was August. He died before even getting to the hospital.
Later that morning the police called alyssa mother to inform her about the tragic death.
"Nooooo"her mother yelled from her room crying.
Lyssa sat in her bed crying cause she felt like half of her was gone. Lyssa was a smart little girl she could read and write and knew how to listen.
She didn't come out of her room for the whole day which caused her to find a tape her dad hid under her pillow. He used tapes because he knew she knew how to work them. She put it in the cassette player and played it. Once she heard his voice she became happy.
"Hey bug, it's daddy. I know you already know why I'm not here and I know you sad baby but you need to be strong for ya momma bug.
"Okay daddy." She said while crying.
"Love bug don't cry you gotta be strong for me okay? "
She wiped her eyes and sat on the bed.
"Listen to me, you and ya momma will never have to worry about money. Look in ya closet for a big barbie doll box." He paused.
She got off her bed and walked to the closet seeing the box and pulled it out.
"Now open it. " he said.
She opened it and seen stacks of money filled to the top.
"Only use it when you need to okay love you bug I'll make sure I tell you a story tonight. "
Years went by and she never stopped listening to every tape and reading the letters her had placed around the room. For every birthday, anydays she needed to talk, for boys. He had a tape for it, she loved listening to them because it made her feel like he was still there. He made sure she got every dollar he placed around her room. He knew her mother wouldn't be in the right mind space so he placed it in her care cause even at the age of four she was always neat and responsible.
He had a dream about his death and was trying to hold off on getting out so that he can live to see his daughter and wife. He never told her about it because she would have worried more so he prepared. Every night he tucked lyssa in he would hide money,tapes, and letter inside her room. But he couldn't take his wife breaking down anymore and decided to just leave. Apparently God had different plans and it was his time to come home.
