"Tyler." Jenna squeezed my arm and rolled over in bed.

"Yeah, yeah, what sweet? I'm awake." I quickly turned to face her.

"We are ten minutes apart on contractions and they are lasting about a minute."

"Oh my gosh."

"My water hasn't broken yet."

"But still it could be anytime now, Jenna." I sat up and ran my hands over my face and threw my hair.

"I know, don't get too excited though." She chuckled and sat up.

"What do you think? What do we need to do?"

"I guess stay up. It's five in the morning but I don't think we will be waiting very long."

"This is unbelievable, Jen. We are going to be parents." I kissed her head then kissed her belly. "You better hurry up, princess."

"Oh, okay. She is." Jenna winced and another contraction started.

"Do we need to go? You are in a lot of pain." I grabbed her hand and she squeezed it until the pain subsided.

"I know, sweet. But I can wait a little longer. My water still hasn't broken." Jenna took a few deep breaths. "I'm going to the bathroom. I'll be right back." I helped her up and walked with her to the bathroom. "Ty, I got it." She giggled and shut the door before I walked in.

The day consisted of much more pain than any other day so far. "It's eleven o'clock. You would think by now Alaïa would want to get out of me. But no, she just wants me to pee every ten minutes." Jenna got up from the couch and went to the bathroom. Debby got here soon after she woke up and we told her what was going on. We had hospital bags in the car, the car seat put in, and everyone has been dressed and ready to go since this morning, except Alaïa.

"I'm so excited. I hate seeing Jenna in pain, but man, I'm so excited." Josh shook his head after she left. After a few minutes Jenna came back in the room smiling.

"Tyler?"

"What, my love?" I leaned over so I could see Jenna's face.

"My water just broke."

"Are you kidding?" I jumped up.

"No." She chuckled.

"Should we go?"

"Yes." She smiled. We all cheered and went to the car, I got in the back with Jenna.

Her contractions had gotten down to seven minutes apart before we got to the hospital. We pulled in and made our way to the front desk. "Hi, um we need a room my wife is down to seven minutes apart for contractions and they are lasting about a minute."

"Okay. Come back with me." The nurse stood up after getting our name and information. I helped Jenna up from the chair she was in next to Josh and Debby. We all followed the nurse to a private room and they got Jenna changed and got some more information about her.

"You are already dilated seven centimeters this might end up being a quick labor and birthing process. Do you want an epidural?"

"I will, yes." Jenna ran her hands through her hair, then her hand went to her stomach. She took some deep breaths and bit her lip to try to manage the pain. I grabbed her hand and she squeezed it tight until she was okay.

"We will have to ask Mr. Joseph to leave the room for just a minute while I check on a few things." The nurse smiled as I walked out to sit with Josh and Debby. A doctor walked into the room where my wife was along with another nurse.

"How is she?" Debby asked.

"Hurting, but okay. You guys can go in with me when I get to go back in if you want."

"Okay." We waited a few more minutes then the doctor stoped is before going in.

"Doctor Eves is on her way, but I'll be taking care of Mrs. Joseph for now. If you guys need anything let me know. The nurses will be in and out to check on you all."

"Thank you." I shook the mans hand then went into the room with Debby and Josh trailing behind.

"Hey boys, I love both of you so much but can I talk to Debby alone for a second?" Jenna pushed her way through another contraction.

"Yeah of course." Josh and I exchanged confused glances.

"Dude, are you nervous?" Josh elbowed me when we got in the hallway.

"Yeah. I'm going to be responsible for another human, Josh. What if I mess up?"

"Tyler, you're going to mess up. Everyone does. But I can't think of two better parents than Jenna and Tyler Joseph."

"I couldn't think of a better godfather for my baby either." I said casually.

"Wait what?" He smiled widely and looked at me.

"Who could be a better godfather than uncle Josh?" I chuckled at his excitement.

"Oh my gosh man." He pulled me into a hug. "Thank you."

"Of course my dude." I patted his back a few times. "What are those girls talking about?" I looked back at the door longingly.

"Who knows." We stayed in the hall for a half hour before Debby came back out and told us we could come in.

"Hi babe." Jenna kissed me when I got to her, "If it's okay with you two boys, Debby is going to stay with us for awhile. Just to help me with recovery and to help with the baby."

"Yeah, absolutely." I approved.

"You know I have no issues with it." Josh shrugged.

"Cool-" Jenna threw her head back and winced.

"Hey hey hey." I grabbed her hand and kissed it gently. "It's okay. Breathe."

2:00 a.m.

"I can't do it anymore, Tyler." Jenna was shaking, she looked so tired. I wanted more than anything to just get the baby out so she would stop hurting. Debby and Josh has gone to get coffee for the three of us and ice chips for Jenna.

"It's okay, my love. It'll be over soon." She laid back and squeezed her eyes shut. I bent down beside her, leaning close to her stomach. I sang softly, but loud enough for Jenna to hear me as well as the baby.
"Can't describe just what I'm feeling for you
I go step to a dude much bigger than me
For you I know I would get messed up weight 153
For you I would get beat to smithereens."

"Aw you guys." I heard Debby whisper as she put her phone back in her pocket from what I could only assume was taking a picture.

"Too cute." Josh also put his phone away and handed me the coffee. Debby handed Jenna the ice and we all sat around Jenna. Smiling and cracking jokes when Jenna wasn't in excruciating pain.

"Hi guys." Doctor Eves entered the room, "How are we holding up?"

"I think her contractions are getting closer together and lasting a wee bit longer." Debby answered.

"She's right." Jenna added.

"Okay, let's see how dilated you are if you guys wouldn't mind stepping out."

"Sure." We all got up and left the room. Soon a two nurses went into the room one carrying a large needle.

"Are Mr. Joseph?" A third nurse with an accent of sorts trailed behind.

"Yes, why?" I stood up.

"You're girls having a baby, mate." He patted my back pulled me into the room.

"Alright Jenna," I ran to my wife's side, "Are you ready to push?" Doctor Eves smiled up at us.

"I guess so." She cried.

"One, two, three!"
