The past two months have consisted of more doctor visits, less therapy. More song writing and recording, less sitting alone in silence. More reading birthing books and picking furniture for the nursery, and less relaxing. More jokes and talks about the baby, less depression episodes. More anxiety, but not about the sad things.
"I can't believe it. In two months. TWO MONTHS," I yelled, "I'll be a dad."
"How many months?" Josh asked again.
"Two my man, TWO!" Debby and Jenna laughed at my excitement.
"How are you feelin, momma?" Debby nudged Jenna.
"Scared, a little nervous, tired, achy, and hungry." Jenna laughed, "But more excited than I've ever been for anything else."
"I'm so excited for you two." Josh grinned.
"Two months." I sighed again, "Oh! That reminds me, Josh, we have to finish Trench before then."
"Shit man-"
"Josh!" We all scolded him.
"Sorry, sorry," We all try our best not to curse, but sometimes the anxiety, happiness, excitement, or depression gets the best of us, "I mean, crap, We have a lot to do."
"How many songs are left to record?" Debby asked.
"One. We still need to finish editing some of them, also music videos." I got quite, "Those are going to take awhile."
"Well have you guys talked to Mark and the crew about the music videos? I know you've had a few meetings." Jenna looked at both of us.
"Yeah, we have concepts for Jumpsuit, Levitate, and Nico and the Niners." I paused, "We know where to shoot them, it's just when that's the problem."
"Well where?" The girls asked.
I looked at Josh for him to answer, I hated how far it was. "Iceland and Ukraine." He sighed.
"Really?" Jenna clapped, "That's so pretty."
"Yeah but the issue is, if we want the videos done by the time the baby comes, we need to go within a few weeks, but thats over Thanksgiving and Christmas." Josh looked at me for the last bit of news.
"Also, you wouldn't be able to go, Jenna." I mumbled.
"What?" Jenna frowned, then it hit her, "I'm already seven months, I can't fly."
"Right. So unless we want to take a new born baby with us, we are screwed." I sat down beside her and Debby.
"What if-" Josh started, "What if we finish everything for the record, record and edit every song. Have outfits and everything planned for music videos. Go ahead and decide where all the shots will be filmed since we know where we are going. Get absolutely everything done before the baby comes. Get you guys comfortable, wait until she's two or three months old, then go film. That puts us filming when, like March of next year?"
"Yeah."
"Okay, well if we have all our crap together, that shouldn't be too hard, that gives us three more months to edit videos, design merch and plan tours."
"Josh, have I ever told you how brilliant you are?" I smiled.
"I believe you have." He smiled back, "What do you think, Jenna?"
"I think it's a great idea."
"Debby, you're going, right?" I looked around Jenna at her.
"Um yeah, Insatiable should be finished filming by then, so yeah." She confirmed, "For sure."
