"That's odd." I set my keys down and followed Jenna to the living room, then the kitchen, then the nursery. "Where the heck are they?" I laughed. I knocked softly on Joshs closed door before opening it. There they were. Debby and Josh cuddled up asleep as Alaïa slept in her crib.
"They must have worn each other out." Jenna smirked and took a picture.
"I guess so." I laughed, "I'll move Alaïa to our room and let them know we are home, you can go change and get ready for bed." I pecked Jennas cheek before she left the room. "Hey Josh?" I shook him lightly.
"Hmm?" He rubbed his eyes and stretched a little. "Oh hey, dude." He smiled and sat up just a bit, holding onto Debby so he wouldn't wake her.
"Hey. I just wanted to thank you again. I'm taking Alaïa back into our room so you guys can sleep without her waking you up."
"Just leave her in here. I'll feed her through the night."
"Josh I'm not going to let you take care of my kid all night. I'm home now. Babysitter is off duty."
"Seriously, Tyler." He put his hand on my arm. "She just ate like thirty minutes ago and she only wakes up to eat through the night twice now. I got it."
I sighed, "You're sure? You seem like you really want to do this."
"Absolutely sure. I love letting my best friends have a full nights sleep." He smiled.
"Alright, thank you."
"Anytime dude. Go get some good, well deserved, sleep."
I told Jenna what had happened when I got back to the bedroom, which she was thankful for. "Should we watch some tv?" I asked as I crawled in bed with her.
"Friends?"
"Perfect." I grabbed the remote and put on the tv show. Jenna laid her head on my shoulder and I kissed her head. "Thank you for being amazing at everything you do." I whispered.
"I'm not though."
"Trust me, you are." She sat up and faced me, staring into my eyes. She leaned in and kissed me quickly on the lips, then another peck and another. I let my hand go up into her hair. "I love you." I said in between kisses.
"I love you more." She responded.
I pulled back for a second, "Mmmm doubt it." I pulled her into a long kiss. I rolled over so I was hovering over her, careful not to break the kiss. "We can't do this, can we?" I pulled back.
"Not for two more weeks."
"Ughhhh but you are so stunning and I just love you so much." I flopped down beside her, face in the pillow, body across her.
"I know." She giggled, "I love you too."
"You better." I was muffled by the pillow. I rolled over and looked up at her, "I'm so proud of you." I kissed her hand then we continued to watch our show.
5:00 a.m.
The digital clock flashed beside me. I had turned off the tv and Jenna has fallen asleep hours ago. I ran my fingers through her hair while she was curled up with her head on my chest.
"You don't deserve her." Scarver said simply.
How are you here? I'm on medication now.
"It's so weird ya know? You have a baby then you start forgetting to take your medicine for a couple days, then everything just starts coming back to ya." Reisdro spoke.
How could I forget?
"Maybe part of you doesn't want to take them anymore." Nills suggested.
