Leo and D took a bath and Leo helped D out of the water and into some of his clothes. Leo carried D out of his bathroom and into his bedroom, laying her on the bed. He quickly rushed back to the bathroom to brush his teeth.
D held her face and blushed.
"I can't believe I said all those things what is wrong with me?" She asked herself.
D tried her very hardest to not worry about it. After all, Leo said it was ok. He even encouraged it. But there's always a what if moment.
Leo turned the light off and closed the door.
"You ok d? You look worried..." Leo began.
"You don't think of me differently do you?" D asked.
"No.. what about me?" Leo asked. He climbed into the bed and pulled d close to him. She listened closely as Leo's heart beat steadied out. She slowly began to breathe. Breathing in, holding it, and letting it go.
Leo stroked D's worries head, slowly making sure D was ok.
"Talk to me D.. what's going on?" Leo asked.
"I just.. I feel so satisfied but I just.. I'm so weird and I feel like you think I'm weird." D said nervously.
"Hey, weird is my favorite. And your kinks are cute thank you very much.." Leo chuckled.
D blushed. She bit her lip for a moment. Her head was clouded with tonight's hijinks.
"Just lay with me. And talk to me. It doesn't even have to make sense.." Leo said smiling.
D kissed Leo softly, holding his hand.
"I just.. you make me feel so good. When we are and aren't in the cave.. I just.. I don't know. Maybe I'm just weird.." d began.
"Hey.. just say what's on your mind." Leo said smiling. He squeezed D's hand softly.
"You make me feel like I'm something-no..- someone important. Like I have a reason to be here. You have made me feel so happy and appreciated to the point where I feel for you in a matter of hours and I don't know what to make of it. I have you to hold forever and the fact that I'm so just.. shy and weak kills me. How am I supposed to protect you if I can't even talk to the only person who will listen to me about how much he means and other stuff like that?" D asked with tears brimming her eyes.
"No one usually listens to me. The guys have their own things so outside of lyrics I don't even really have a place in the band. That night when you stepped into my life I was so happy to finally find someone who gave a shit about me or what I had to say. We see eye to eye on so many things and the fact that we share so many of the same interests has me so happy because for the first time in awhile I've been able to get out of bed, not even being able to think about how everything used to be.." D cried.
Leo held his sobbing shield maiden, kissing her forehead softly.
"There's all of that plus the fact that you give it to me so good and I've never in all my time on this planet have found someone who can do what you can.. You are so adaptable that nothing even bothers you. You are everything I have dreamt of and I never want to let you go.." D said, continuing to cry.
Leo held her tight.
"I told you I'm not going anywhere. Nothing and no one will ever be able to take me away from you. Death himself couldn't take me away from you. You mean a lot to me. You make me so happy because you've been the first person to instantly treat me with kindness without a second thought.." Leo explained.
"You make me feel so many different emotions I had no idea even existed.. lust and love and joy and all that other mushy stuff. I want to have a life with you. But I want to get to know you and thrive with you way before we continue down the road. I want to know you like the back of my hand so that when it comes down to it, I can tell you things about yourself that you may not have even known.." Leo explained.
The two shared a kiss, sweet and tender but all the same Leo worried for D. She was so anxious about his opinion and everyone's opinion. He snatched her face towards his and stared into her red and blue eyes.
"Stop caring about everyone's opinions and be yourself. Who gives a shit what other people think?" Leo asked.
"Leo.. I know it should be that easy.. but it's not.." D said with a heavy sigh.
"It will get easier with time.." Leo shushed her, pacifying her racing mind.
"Let's just go to sleep and we can do whatever you want tomorrow,Ok?" Leo asked.
"Ok.." d said curling up to Leo.
The two drifted to sleep. Unaware of what would happen when they woke up.
