The sun shone through the window and you could actually hear the birds sing for once... which was rare considering Andrew lived in the middle of the city.
He executed his usual routine; glasses, shower, etc... But today he made sure he'd be waking up a little earlier than normal.
He wouldn't want to miss his meeting with Alpha and Payton after all.
As he got out the door, he texted Alpha, letting him know that he'd be there soon.
Alpha answered quickly: "You better be, I mistook the time and I've been sitting here in the cold for an hour now like a homeless person." Andrew laughed and made sure to take his time walking.. Anything to please his dear friend.
When he got there, he left some spare change at his friend's feet and smirked.
"Good morning good sir," He greeted mockingly.
"It isn't funny," Said Alpha as he grabbed the change and threw it back at Andrew.
"For me it is," He smiled as he sat next to his friend. "Now let's wait for miss Dallas, shall we?"
Alpha grunted.
"Fineee. But you owe me a coffee"
"You know I owe you more than that," Andrew sighed.
"Yeah, no kidding..."

"I'm late, I'm late, I'm late!" She said under her breath. Payton's house was a mess.. papers everywhere, used shooting targets near the garbage bin...
She grabbed her keys, pocketing her badge, and hurriedly ran out the door.
"Thank goodness for that training.." she said. Moving quickly through busy cities was one of the first lessons trainees had to undergo.
She ran through the city, using secret passage ways she could navigate through her sleep. When she arrived, not a single hair of her updo was out of place... despite having crossed a good portion of the city just to get to work.
The two guys we're laughing their butts off when she arrived..talking casually.
"Good morning," She greeted them with a smile. "I'm sorry for my late entrance... I fell asleep doing some important research that couldn't wait, you know how it is.." She lied.
In reality, Payton had fallen asleep watching a marathon of Say Yes to the dress.
"Absolutely," Alpha said, "Why don't we walk to the office together?"
The other two agreed and entered the 'phone company'.
"So, this Jake person..?" Andrew asked.
"Well," Payton started, "He has levitation powers, and mental manipulation... EDG doesn't exactly know what else he can do... but he's survived through thing's that are nearly impossible.. you've seen the burns..."
They passed through the secret entrance, and made their way through the halls.
She paused, talking in a hushed whisper now. "Personally.. after talking to some other agents who once worked on this case... i'd say he has healing abilities or something. But it isn't in his file..."
"But can you hurt him?...?" Alpha asked, intrigued.
"Yes... I've injured him before..." She shook her head. "It doesn't make much sense.. but EDG has him classified as 'power hungry'.. He's snuck into EDG event's in the past.. and he's been around for a long time, but he's been more active than ever recently..."
