"Aj there's no one here-" Tess frowned at Aj.
The team had split into their respective pairs and started looking for their targets. Tris and Messi were both looking through the main party, and Pink had dragged Alpha off towards the food:
"They might've wanted to get food before their evil plans.. we should at least go check- and they have cake."
"There might be, Tess." The two of them were outside the main event, they had taken a back hall and snuck away to another exhibit in the museum.
"They might've wanted a private place to do whatever evil they're doing- might be another meeting."
"Fair point..."
Aj rounded another corner and lead Tess down a long corridor. Paintings adorned each wall, and a door stood alone at the end of the hall.
They were now out of the exhibits area..
"I think this might be an office.. or a.."
"Private section?" Aj nodded.
"Tess, did you bring-"
"The replacement Alfred?" Tessa held her hand out, and a fancy gun teleported into her palm. It had a shiny black coat, with a long glowing dark blue stripe running across it's barrel.
"I still can't believe Icy decided to actually replace it..."
"Too bad it's never gonna get to Messi..." Aj took the gun from Tessa and lead the way down the hall. After testing the locked door, Aj shot the handle and it swung open.
"Ooh... this is actually really good. I see why Messi was so pissed about it getting destroyed." Tessa shoved the door open and casually stepped through... but almost immediately threw up her hands and began walking backwards in surrender.
A man in black tie attire was pointing a gun at her, slowing exiting the room.
"No no.. don't shoot..." Aj pressed herself against the wall, and out of the man's view.
"This is a private area... I suggest you get back to the main event."
"Well now I don't wanna.. what's going on in here?" Tess dropped her hands and smiled.
"That's none of your concern-" Before he could finish, Aj jumped out from her hidden spot and pointed the new Alfred at the man.
"Oh I KNOW YOU!.. You're Kyle! The guy who's working with Jay, and has awful aim-" Aj lowered Alfred and simply plucked the gun from Kyle's hand, tossing it to Tessa.
"Look Kyle..." She raised Alfred and pointed it at his head. "I just got a new gun and I'm looking for some new targets to practice on. It'll be either the statues..or your hideous face~"
Kyle opened his mouth to object, but thought against it when Tess pointed her own gun at him.
"Now Kyle.. mind telling us why this room's closed off?"
He grinned. "I guess Jake was right..." at that Same moment, two men appeared from the shadows and pressed the cold tips of their guns to the back of both girls' necks.
"You fools really do walk straight into trouble."
Aj shrugged, "it's part of the fun...Tessa, remember why I made you wear wedges when you refused to wear heels?"
"Oh yeah..." Tess smiled and squirmed a bit in the goon's grip.
"What are you-GAH!" she brought her boot down on the man's foot before stabbing him with her little dagger- careful not to get blood on her disguise.
