Chapter 20

A blanket of silence had fallen over TRF...
The group sat around the large table in HQ-they had changed out of their disguises. Andy sat at the head of it, typing something onto his bionic arm. Tris beside him, among the other agents- and Kim, who was deep in thought.

"Well?.. -" Alpha broke the silence- "Do we have any clue where he might've taken her?~"

Andy shook his head and banged his prosthetic on the table. "I can't track him..." He faced Kim. "Still sticking around?"

She shrugged casually, "I might be more of a help... You know- since I've been to Jake's lair and all~" She replied, checking her nails before glancing over to him once again.

"What?! Then where is it?"

"That's What I've been trying to figure out... EDG Tped me in." She sighed and murmured something about Jake having trust issues, "I don't know the coordinates or where the entrance is, unfortunately..."

"Details. I-I can put them in my bionic arm.. it'll track him." Kim nodded and described the 'lair'.

A few minutes later. the hidden screen flashed green, and Andy jumped up from his chair.

"He's down at the old cave... down by the forest entrance."

Tris stood up and motioned at Messi and Pink. "Both of you, come with us.. were better going to a smaller group if we wanna stay hidden. Everyone else, stay At Hq."

Tris ran downstairs and retrieved Andy's saber, her own sword, a gun for Messi, daggers for Pink, and flashlights. Within 2 minutes, the four of them each took an energy serum and had sped away.

The old cave was massive... there were dozens of tunnels, all eventually branching into 2 large tunnels leading a to a single large space, with weathered down walls and a single opening among them.

Tris went first, cautiously climbing into the hidden opening.

Messi entered last and pointed his gun at one of the tunnels. "Split up then...?"

"Yeah. Pink come with me.." Andy lit his flashlight and led the way into the tunnel at right.

"Guess it's you and me, Tris..." Messi lit his own flashlight and led the way into the left tunnel. "I'll take the lead..."

"Been in these tunnels before?"

"Nope... But finding Jake's lair can't be that hard. Right?" Tris nodded and they walked on in silence.

Half an hour had passed.

Neither of both teams had much luck finding Jake.

Messi and Tris were both undoubtedly lost, while Andy was using his bionic arm to keep track of where they were heading.

He kept walking as he checked his bionic arm- and almost immediately he tripped over a stalagmite.

Andy fell forward, his glasses flying away.

"Ahh..." Andy slipped into a slight panic after searching uselessly for his fallen glasses.

"Here! I got them..." Pink wiped the dust off the lens' before handing it to Andy.

"Thanks.." He stood up, putting on his glasses and regaining his sight.

"Why are your eyes like that...? Brown with glasses but.. light gray without them."

"Oh..." He shrugged and once again starting walking. "I was born blind..that's why they're gray. My brother got his hands on these glasses for me... without them, EDG wouldn't have given me a job.."
