Rogue

Chapter 10:

"Well, here we are..." Messi lead Andy up the loading ramp of the Orion, a medium sized tour boat. It was noon, only an hour since Andy left Aj's house, where he had cleaned himself up, and began updating his bionic arm.

"And will this boat take us to the island?"

"No..." Messi rubbed his head and lead Andy across the deck, towards the back of the vessel. "I contacted the guy who owns the island, an old friend of mine, while we waited for Orion to start boarding. "He's sending out his own little boat to come get us..."

The boys sat down at the little seating area near the boats end, Messi immediately looked across the deck towards the boarding ramp, watching~ no... scanning boarding passengers faces.

Andrew broke the silence, "You know the girls... Danica and her group." Messi nodded.

"How exactly did it happen?" Taking his eyes away from the ramp, Messi thought for a moment as the boat left the port.

"I met them a little after they had begun suspecting EDG's motives... they had actually kidnapped me, thinking I was hired by EDG because Danica had seen me spying on her during one of her missions. It was a big mix up, took a while to finally convince them that I was spying to figure out what the agency was up to... they were cautious with me, but they kept contact and asked me to help with spying... but they didn't fully trust me until about a month later, when one of their little 'missions' went south." He sighed and looked at Andy straight in the eye.

"Danica was pretending to have some important info for EDG... she called a private meeting with one of the higher ranking EDG, I was watching from a distance as backup. We made a precise plan... to kidnap the agent and use a newly developed temporary mind controlling serum to make him walk into EDG the next day, and shut down the return of an old project... Project Pink. The same project Zora was apart of... they ran experiments on her, when she was just a child."

He shook his head, getting back to the story.

"We weren't gonna let them bring back the project... no matter what. And they didn't... but during the mission, the agent had figured out what her motives were, so he grabbed the serum from Danica and used it on her... commanding her go kill the people who sent her to meet him."

The cool ocean air blew in Andy's face, the Orion was a distance away from the port, going south.

"And... you stopped her?"

A nod. "The man hadn't come alone, while he gave Tris~ Danica's code name, her command to kill us, a lower ranking field agent attacked me..." He shook his head and sighed.

"I.. killed him, then shot the higher ranking EDG through the heart right as he made to escape. Couldn't have them getting back to EDG knowing Tris was a traitor..."

"What happened.. with Tris?" He asked curious.

"She teleported behind me and kicked me down. We weren't that close, but she was still a friend... I blocked and took her hits, striking back only trying to knock her out... not actually doing much damage. She had kicked me down next to the higher EDG's limp body, and kicked me right in the ribs... and that's when I saw the emptied syringe in the EDG agent's hands. But right then, she pulled out her gun and shot at me... but it was too late, I had already rolled aside. Before she could re-aim the gun at me, I kicked her feet out from under her and knocked her out. And after that... I took her to my place, chained her to a chair and locked her in the basement... I told the girls what happened as soon as I could. They didn't believe me until they saw Tris for herself... and since then they've all trusted me, I could've easily killed her and made my escape but I didn't. I paid for it was 2 broke ribs and a sprained wrist."
