Andy followed Danica around the set of stairs built up the side of one of the Apartment building, and they stopped on a little balcony at the edge of the complex. He looked around, taking in the little green hill on which the apartment complex stood.
"Aj lives... here?" Andy questioned. She had said that Aj's house was in a secure area.
"Yes... well, you'll see." Danica lead them to a door, nothing special about it.
"Apartment 3A. Doesn't seem like a really safe place."
Danica sighed and opened the already unlocked door. It lead to a small furnished room with a dim light.
Andrew shut the door and watched closely as Danica set her palm against a little panel sticking out from the wall.
"Voice identification," The computer said.
"Tris."
"Access granted." The left wall slid over, revealing a staircase that lead down into the mountain. Two cameras were attached to both sides of the stairs, watching the pair make their way down the steps.
"The apartment is all a disguise... no one would even think to look over here. And for Aj's brother- Jacob I mean- he only knows about Aj's other house. Small one in the city. That's where she goes when anything involves someone she doesn't particularly trust... this house, it's more of a safe place."
They reached the bottom of the stairway and were emptied into a large room, sunlight shining in through hidden windows, illuminating the room completely.
Andy walked over to one of the windows.
"This house is built into the hill, isn't it?" Danica nodded.
"Everything here is hidden from the outside. Teleportation is blocked to the inside." She motioned towards a little garden filled balcony beside the main sitting room, which was adorned with furniture. It looked homey.
"If you try teleporting here, it'll redirect you and leave us on that balcony. There's a voice panel there as well..." she trailed off and smiled as Pink walked into the room. She stopped and beheld the group's awful condition.
"Who died?"
Danica looked at her in confusion.
"Both of you... you're covered in dried blood. A lot of it..."
"Oh." Danica looked down at her clothes and frowned... her white shirt had been completely stained crimsoned, and had an oily feel to it. Distracted, she had forgotten all about the mess they must look like.
"My ego died. That's what happened," Andy mused.
"About time." Danica smirked. Andy just turned his gaze aside, smiling slightly.
"A guy named Ego died?!" Zora asked.
He shook his head.
"No one actually died Zora..." He waved his bionic arm at her, which was still in need of some adjustments. "Just lost an arm. No big deal."
Zora shook her head and studied his new prosthetic as it began twitching.
"Did you build that?"
"Yes. I did, with help from Liam of course."
Danica smiled, "Liam built most of it~"
"He did not-"
The arm began twitching uncontrollably as Aj strode out from the balcony with Tessa.
