Third Person POV
Octavia slipped through the alleyways going to the lodge where Trikru warriors were often found. She didn't agree with Kane and didn't care for the words he spoke. Who was he to send her back? They gave her a task and she completed it.
A choice had to be made, kill Indra's daughter, or one of the looters. Either way someone was bound to die. It's not like Kane wielded the sword himself, that why she was there.
It was eerily quiet, and the hair on thr back on her neck stood on end as she pushed open the door.
"Indra." She calls out. "No. Indra.Indr…"
Heart pounding faster she looks at all the slain warriors, blood decorating the blood and floor.Walking further into the room, she finds all dead but one, who was barely clinging to life. Octavia dropped to her knees beside him.
"What happened?"
"Skairipa…" he rasps out. "They'll be back for you. You should run. Ice Nation is attacking Trikru and Skaikru. Their army marches on your camp tonight."
"Where's Indra?"
"Warning our people. You should warn yours. The alliance is broken. It's war.." he gasps out and with his last bit of strength he grabs onto her arm. "Find Kikheda tell her to run."
"Yu gonplei ste odon." She tells him as he took his last breath, reaching out closing his eyes forever.
"They spotted her this way." Octavia hears voices in the distance shout.
Gritting her teeth, she leaves the fallen warriors where they lay, hastily making her way to where Kane said Helios was saddled and ready.**Arkadia**
"Monty…" Clarke calls out cautiously approaching the boy.
"Jasper's fine, in case you cared." Monty says tossing a glare her way.
"I do care." She says stopping in front of him. "Can we talk in private, please?" Monty looks her over for a moment before getting up from the table to walk with her. "It wasn't easy making that list." She starts. "I only had so many slots for engineers. You're an apprentice. Jaha's more knowledgeable about the ship. He's more experienced, and Raven I…"
"That's what you think this is about?" He ask cutting Clarke off. "Clarke, I get why you didn't put me on the list. I may have even agreed with it. It's just, who are you?" He says stopping to look dead in her eyes. "When did you become this person?"
"I haven't become anyone." She says defensively
"The Clarke I know wouldn't be arresting her friends." Monty counters. "I get why Kayleigh has to be, I don't like it, but I get.. but Jasper.."
"Kane agreed that we needed to keep this quiet." Clarke reminds him. "You heard what Kayleigh was doing before.. we can't risk anything else."
"Kane isn't here. That's just an excuse." He sharply retorts. "You're the one saying, you live and Harper dies. You're the one shock-batoning Jasper, then arresting him. You're the one going too far and using the same old justification… it's all for my people."
"It is."
"I know you think people will freak out, but if you just tell everyone the truth, maybe they'll surprise you." He tells her gently trying to convince her to do the right thing.
"Monty, it's too risky."
"Jasper was right." Monty says looking at her snidely. "You're not God."
