                  Third Person POV

"Those who care too much loose everything!" Asher snarls back at Kayleigh, having heard enough. "You say you're ready to ascend, but haven't learned what it means to be Heda!"

"I've learned plenty-

"To be commander, is to be alone." He growls at her. "Same as I. My duty is to follow you, and one day further my bloodline, there is no room for anything else. Not for us."

"You think I don't know that!?" Kayleigh snarls right back, hand going to her middle. "There were never any choices for me, but you-you could have that choice- that chance."

"I know what the cost is to love someone." He says shaking his head as thoughts of his sister enter his mind. "The price is too high."

"So you would rather she die, than you take the chance of falling." she says and they both fall into an uncomfortable silence.

Kayleigh wasn't sure how much time had passed, since they started snarling at eachother, or why she was choosing this moment to pick a fight with Asher. Maybe it was knowing time was running faster with each passing moment. The feeling of being completely useless flooded through her entire being, and the voices in her head were doing her no favors. Proving to her over and over just how right they were.

Asher was just another name to the list of those that she hurt. Another person to give up their life for hers. The list would never end.

"Hey," Bell says climbing back into the back, "Monty just pulled up with Harper.. Wrap your arms around me, Sweetheart."

Looking at him slightly confused, she does as he asks, and in one fluid movement he picked her up in his arms, carrying her out of the over with Asher in tow.

"You're not gonna like what I have to say.." He says pausing to look at Asher as well. "Either of you."

"What's going on?" Kayleigh asks with a sigh. None of this had been easy to this point. Why would anything else be?

"We not going to be going back to the bunker.. We're going to the island for Raven as planned."

"And then what?" Kayleigh asked when Bellamy seemed to hesitate before holding onto her a little tighter.

"Space." Murphy deadpans, "We're going back to the Ark."

                   *** Bunker ***

"Fight! Fight! Fight!"

All the members of Skairku shouted behind closed doors as they armed themselves with guns, feeding off of each others engery.

"Fight!"
"Fight!"
"Fight!"
"Fight!"

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Marcus questions, charging into the room.

"I am not losing 364 people today." Jaha deadpans. "I did not find this bunker just so we can kill ourselves in it."

"So you're gonna what? You're gonna you're gonna gas the Grounders, knock them out? Is that it?"

"Yes." He says seriously. "And then we threaten to destroy the crops unless they make room for our people."

"You can't be serious."

"Once we have the food, we have the power. We call the shots. We found the Skaikru armory. They are our guns now. We can't wait any longer." He says shaking his head. Opening the door to see Hardy on the other side.
