Oblivious

"Yah, Song Ji Hyo." Jae Seok calls her as soon as she comes in the living room.

She has a tray of chicken in her hands, and Kwang Soo, Dong Hoon, Byul and Joong Ki are already in the living room playing board games.

"What?" she asks innocently.

"Why do you keep calling us here? It hasn't been a week since you called us to eat dinner together. We also have a family, you know." Jae Seok complains.

"That's the thing, Oppa. I'm alone here." she whines, kneeling right next to the low table where they are playing to set the tray at the side.

"Then why did you fight with Kim Jong Kook in the first place?" Dong Hoon butts in, lifting his eyes from the board game.

She jerks her head to his direction, taken off guard by his statement.

She still gets hurt thinking about that night. She regrets having exploded on Jong Kook like that, yet she is also mad at him for leaving her that easily.

And just like any other days lately, she starts feeling sad and sensitive and her eyes starts tearing up, making Dong Hoon's eyes widen in panic.

Kwang Soo hits him on the shoulder.

Ji Hyo blinks the tears back, gulping the lump in her throat as she looks down at anything but her friends.

Being reminded by the fact that Jong Kook is far away from her just makes her miss him so bad she wants to cry so loud and let it all out.

But she purses her lips to keep any sound from coming out.

The atmosphere in the room has gone heavy.

"Yah, why did you have to say that?" she hears Jae Seok scold Dong Hoon.

"Ji Hyo-ah, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to sound so harsh."

She sniffles, having succeeded to blink the tears back. "It's okay, Oppa. Let's just eat."

She takes a piece of chicken and starts eating. The others reach for the food and starts eating, too.

"Where's Gary Oppa? Seok Jin Oppa?"

"Maybe they have a schedule."

Ji Hyo pouts, getting sad again that they aren't complete. That's when she catches Kwang Soo staring at her suspiciously.

"Why are you so clingy to us these days?" he asks, his brows furrowed in curiosity.

"No, I'm not." she denies. "I just want to see you guys."

Kwang Soo scoffs. "You even shoo us away before." He leans to Ji Hyo's direction. "You need something from us, do you?"

"I said I don't!" she snaps, her temper rising. "Go out if you don't wanna be here!"

"Yah, you two, settle down." Jae Seok butts in, pushing both of them back to their places. "Calm down."

"No, Oppa. This guy should go out." Ji Hyo pushes Jae Seok's hands off her arm, stands up and heads towards Kwang Soo.

"Are you really going this overboard?" Kwang Soo asks, looking up at her as she pulls him up to his feet.

"Get out of my house."

"Yah, Ji Hyo'ah.." Dong Hoon calls, trying to calm her down.

"Noona." Kwang Soo says, trying to snap some sense onto her, disbelief all over his face.

It is Jae Seok and Joong Ki who holds her side by side and makes her sit at the couch.

"Calm down. Calm down." Jae Seok says. "Why are you so hot-tempered?"
