Jong Kook is restless.
He has been itching to see his wife the moment he got off the plane, but his subordinates are too busy guiding him what to wear and where to go.
He changes into an elegant tailored navy blue suit with a rose-colored tie, and combs his hair back that it shows his forehead.
"Is Ji Hyo already here?" he asks Liam when the guy enters the room they had checked in for him to change.
Liam smiles as if he is expecting it. "Yes. She's already here."
Jong Kook is about to head off when Woo Hyun stops him. "You'll see her in a moment, sir." His secretary says, spraying a bit of perfume on his collars.
He smells the masculine scent spread in the air around them, masculine yet gentle.
"I want to see her right now."
"You can't go outside until..."
The door swings open and an old man with salt and pepper hair in a black suit walks in with a couple of men behind him.
"Let him see his wife, Woo Hyun-ah. I know how it hurts to miss someone so badly."
"Mr. Oh!" Jong Kook calls and approaches the man.
He eyes Jong Kook from head to toe with a fatherly smile. The latter smiles at him gratefully and does a ninety degree bow.
"I'll make sure to take care of your company well, Sir."
Mr. Oh clicks his tongue. "You don't have to bow to me, child. You deserve this."
Jong Kook straightens up again.
"Though I have no plan to do it again, and I'm sorry for doing so, but I know you will do everything in your power to protect the company the moment you hopped on that plane and flew to different countries despite the heartbreak that you're experiencing that time."
He did hurt a lot that time, and many times did he regret hopping on that plane and leaving Ji Hyo.
There were many times when he just wanted to leave everything and fly back home just to have Ji Hyo back in his arms.
Thinking back, it is quite amazing how much he managed to endure despite the strong longing.
"Now, let's go present you in the public so you can have a time with your wife already." Mr. Oh says.
Jong Kook nods and the two of them, followed by their secretaries, heads towards the grand ballroom of the hotel.
The moment the double doors open, loud instrumental music was playing. Guests and employees starts approaching him, congratulating him.
But all he could do is say thank you and shake their hands while low key scanning around for a sight of Song Ji Hyo.
The congratulations are now getting on his nerves as he got to the center of the hall after a few minutes.
In the stage, there was a standee with a mic, and a projected screen where works of Perseus that he supervised are slide shown.
Other guests just wave from their round, white-clothed covered tables.
As he arrives halfway down the hall, he realizes that the attention of most people are on one side of the place.
He follows their gazes and realizes what they are watching.
On one side of the grandballroom , just below the left side of the stage, is a grand piano.
And there, sitting at the bench, her eyes focusing on the keys as her delicate fingers creates the beautiful melody filling the air, is Ji Hyo.
