So...I know no one's gonna see this, but I thought I'd take some time to explain the inspiration and meaning behind my choice for the three agents' last names, or surnames if you will.
Starting with Terrance.
Last name: Hunter
Truthfully, there isn't much choice behind this. I just thought it sounded cool with his first name. At least until I realized something. As an agent, he is a hunter in a way. And the name gives off the impression that he might be a tough guy, which he is for the most part. But he's not rude or anything, even though it may come off like that sometimes.
That's about it, I think.
Now for Juniper.
Last name: Eso
Believe it or not, her last name was inspired by the old cartoon Maya and Miguel, specifically Maya's catchphrase that she said whenever she got an idea: "Eso es!"
Junie sometimes has great and not so great ideas. She'll normally say "I have one idea." when she does, kind of like Maya. Also like Maya, her ideas don't exactly work half the time. But sometimes they do.
That's it for Junie.
And finally, Kazuki.
Last name: Eika
This guy's last name took a bit to figure out. "Eika", I believe, means something like "poetry". And according to official canon, Agent 8 loves writing poetry, as they wrote all Mem Cake poems themselves. So Kazuki's last name is meaningful to his character because of that. Plus it sounds nice.
And that's my take on the meaning behind their last names.
