Wilted Frenzy

Chapter 5

Lisa Pov-

I sat in an interrogation with my dear old sister that seemed to look disappointed in herself while the woman that I learned was Glynda was giving us both a lecture.

Glynda: I hope that you two realize that your actions tonight will not be taken lightly, young ladies. You put yourselves and others in great danger.

Ruby: They started it!

Lisa(Thoughts): I was just having fun....

Glynda: If it were up to me, you'd be sent home... With a pat on the back...

I notice Ruby smile on her face and it just made me want to cut a smile out of her face.

Glynda: And a slap on the wrist.

She slams her riding crop on the table, which Ruby barely avoids as she speaks in fear as I just look at her not affected by the action.

Glynda: But... there is someone here who would like to meet you.

She moves out of the way and I see a man in green come through the doorway, holding a mug and a plate of cookies. He then leans in closer to her eyes.

Man: Ruby Rose...you... have silver eyes.

Ruby: Uh, um...

Lisa(Thoughts): Weird....

Man: So! Where did you learn to do this?

He gestured his head at the tablet showing Ruby's fighting and me innocently stabbing people.

Ruby: S-Signal Academy.

Man: They taught you to use one of the most dangerous weapons ever designed?

Ruby: Well, one teacher in particular.

Man: I see...

He puts the cookies on the table in front of Ruby. She tentatively picks one up, eats it in a single bite, and then, not seeing any rebuttal, shovels the rest into her mouth. I didn't really want one so I just continued to listen to the man.

Man: It's just that I've only seen one other scythe-wielder of that skill before. A dusty, old crow...

She tries to say something but her face was stuffed with cookies.

Ruby: Oh! That my oncle

Lisa(Thoughts): What....

She then swallows and wipes her mouth, embarrassed.

Ruby: Sorry. That's my Uncle Qrow! He's a teacher at Signal. I was complete garbage before he took me under his wing. And now, I'm all like— Hooowaaah! Witchaaaa!

She started doing karate moves which kind of annoyed me. Just being around just increased my annoyance.

Ozpin: So I've noticed. And what is an adorable girl such as yourself doing at a school designed to train warriors?

Ruby: Well... I want to be a Huntress.

Ozpin: You want to slay monsters?

Ruby: Yeah! I only have two more years of training left at Signal! And then I'm going to apply to Beacon! You see, my sister's starting there this year, and she's trying to become a Huntress, and I'm trying to become a Huntress 'cause I wanna help people. My parents always taught us to help others, so I thought, Hey, I might as well make a career out of it! I mean the police are alright, but Huntsmen and Huntresses are just so much more romantic and exciting and cool and really, gosh, you know!

Glynda and the man looked at Ruby while I was just looked at her like "What....."

Man: Do you know who I am?

Ruby: You're Professor Ozpin. You're the headmaster at Beacon.

Ozpin: Hello.

Ruby: Nice to meet you.

Ozpin: You want to come to my school?

Ruby: More than anything.

Ozpin:Well, okay you can come to my school.

Ruby looks at him with stars in her eyes while I was thinking about why I was here again. Soon Ruby left and all eyes were on me as I sat their silently until the man named Ozpin spoke.

Ozpin: I would like to ask you a few questions If you wouldn't mind like how you learned how to fight.

He showed a video of me stabbing them and finishing them off.

Lisa: Self taught.

Ozpin looked intrigued in me for some reason which was weird.

Ozpin: If I may ask how old are you?

Lisa(Thoughts): I can tell this guys smart so I can't lie my age just tweak it a little.

Lisa: 10 sir.

Ozpin: Hmmm and where are your parents?

Lisa: Don't have any....

Their was a couple seconds of silence until he showed me a picture which was something that kind of surprised me but now that I think about it I still look the same since I was six. It was my family but I was in the background since they said they didn't want me in the picture. Ozpin points at the at me and asked. Still though why show me this...

Ozpin: Do you know this girl?

I took a few seconds to answer as I looked at my family. They all looked happy as I had to force a smile to my face just so I wouldn't cry.

Lisa: No.....I don't.

He looks at me trying study me as I looked back at him with my mask on.

Ozpin: I see well I just have one more question to ask. More like an offer you would call it.

I look at Glynda as she looked annoyed not approving of this offer.

Lisa: Shoot.

Ozpin: I would like you to join my school.

I looked at him confused trying to figure out his gain from this.

Lisa: Why would you want a ten year old to your school.

Ozpin: Well I see a lot of potential in you. I can tell that for a 10 year old your a lot smarter then you look and think about the perks. You will have a roof over your head and a nice bed to sleep on. Also if you don't Ill just send you to the orphanage.

He smiles as he sips his mug as I begin to think. I have been sleeping on the floor even though I don't need it and I could just steal some food even if I don't need that either, but  it taste so good. I can also just take someone else's house but that it will be to much of a hassle in the long run. I also have never went to school before so this might be fun. I just need to plan all of this out with work and my weekly killings without getting noticed.

Lisa: I accept your offer.

Ozpin: Good.

He starts to leave but stops and looks at me.

Ozpin: I'm sorry but I did not get your name.

Lisa: Just call me An....
