Chapter 20

Lisa Pov-

I sat in my seat as I watched Pyrrha fight RDL as she was beating them without effort. It was boring to say the least. Soon the match was over.

Glynda: And that's the match.

Dove: Lucky shot...

He then collapsed and was knocked out with the rest of his team.

Glynda: Well done, Miss Nikos. You should have no problem qualifying for the tournament.

Pyrrha: Thank you, professor.

Glynda: Alright, now I know that's a tough act to follow, but we have time for one more sparring match. Any volunteers? Ms. Belladonna?

Blake slams her book shut and stares wide-eyed at Glynda. She looked like she hasn't slept in days.

Glynda: You've been rather docile for the past few classes. Why don't you -

I then see a guy with gray hair raise his hand.

Mercury: I'll do it.

Glynda: Mercury, is it? Very well, let's find you an opponent.

Mercury: Actually, I wanna fight... her.

He pointed in my direction as I looked at him annoyed.

Lisa: I decline.

Glynda: Miss An.

I look over to the Professor wondering what she wanted.

Glynda: You haven't been doing spars the entire time you've been here. If you don't, you will fail An.

I bite my lip in anger as I didn't feel like fighting anyone today or wanted to kill someone.

Lisa: Fine.

I jump in the arena right next to the Professor.

Glynda: Aren't you going to get you weapon?

I take my knife out and let it spin on my finger.

Lisa: Let's get this over with.

Soon the guy named Mercury came in and had a smug smile on his face. I just stood their calmly waiting to get this over with.

Glynda: Let the match begin!

You puts his fist up as we circle around each other as he continues to have that smug smirk on his face. Then he said something that surprised me a little.

Mercury: Hey do you know a girl named Susie by any chance?

I stopped and looked at him. How did they know who Susie was...Maybe they're looking for her but why?

I use Feral Frenzy to get in front of him as I manage to get a cut on him as he looked at me a little shocked at how fast I was as he moved away from me. I turn off Frenzy as I become temporarily blind as my vision was blurred. He then kicked me in the stomach as I held on as my vision came back. He came sprinting at me again with another kick as I use Mad grit to help me block the attack. I stab his leg with my knife but it felt off as he kicked me again in the chest. I decided to use Feral Frenzy to get another hit on him as I stabbed his arm going right through his aura as he backed away starting to bleed. He held on to his arm in pain since his aura wasn't healing him as I turned off Feral and looked at him even though I was a little blind again.

Lisa: Give up and take care of that if you don't you will die...

My vision came back as I see him look at me angry as he stood up and held on to his arm.

Mercury: Fine you win although I'm curious why my aura isn't healing me right now? Is that supposed to be your semblance?

I didn't answer as the bell rang signaling for me to leave. I was about to go to my next class until I felt someone lift me up.

Yang: That was amazing An I didn't know you could fight so well!

Lisa: Thanks.

Ruby: Yeah you were really good!

I wiggle out of Yang's grasp as I see Blake walking away slowly and looking kind of depressing.

Lisa: You guys should probably check on Blake she's looking kind of sad.

They all look at each other as they nod. I was about to follow Yang when suddenly Ruby grabbed my hand as I stopped.

Ruby: I'm going to make sure we don't lose you this time lil An.

I stare at her as I use Mad Grit to get out of her grasp as she looked a little shocked at how strong I was as I rush over to Weiss holding her hand instead. Weiss looked kind of awkward but shrugged it off as I see Ruby look down sad.

Timeskip-

I was in the room with everyone as they were talking about a dance as I sat in my corner with Bens Journal reading about Hillbilly as I felt somewhat at peace reading these. Suddenly Blake walked out of the room saying that the dance was a colossal waste of time as she left. I continue reading when suddenly I see someone in front of me and see Ruby standing their. She sat next to me as I felt annoyed wanting to leave.

Ruby: Hey What are you reading?

I decided to ignore her as I continue to read through it when suddenly she took it away from me looking angry.

Ruby: Hey why are you always ignore me? That's kind of mean you know!

I still don't say anything as I try to get my book back but she just put it higher so I can't reach it.

Ruby: Your not getting this back until you answer.

I was annoyed trying to get a hold of myself as I see her dangling the journal like it's some toy.

Lisa: Ruby give me back the book.

Ruby: Nope.

My annoyance grew as I clenched my fist. Yang then spoke.

Yang: Hey Ruby just give An the book back it's not that bad.

Ruby: Yes it is she never answers me and she just hates me and I want to know why.

I wanted to bring my knife out so I could just slit her throat and gut her alive but instead I use Mad Grit to kick her under the legs as she fell backwards. She dropped the book as I grabbed it off the floor. As I stared daggers at Ruby.

Lisa: Word of advice. Never touch this ever again or else...

They looked a little scared as I let some of the Entity's power out a little as I calmed myself down. I then left the room to read somewhere else.
