Chapter 25

I was on the ship with Bens journal reading it when suddenly I see someone in front of me. I look up to see Dr. Oobleck in front of me.

Oobleck: I see your the first one here what happened to your team?

I point to a direction as he looks to see the team going in our direction as Oobleck rush's towards them. I continue to read the journal. sitting in the ship by myself as the Doctor came back in the ship sitting in the seat in front of me. He then asked me something as I lift my head giving him my attention.

Oobleck: If I may ask An what's that your reading? You seem to carry that book everywhere you go.

Lisa: It's.......a journal of my personal thoughts. I read it to help me think.

Oobleck: I see....

Soon the team came in the ship as I continue to read Bens journal as we fly to our destination. They then started talking about what we were doing in the area a I could see Ruby glancing in my direction from time to time while I see Blake looking at Bens journal.

Lisa(Thoughts): Don't even think about it kitty.

Soon the ship hovered over to our location as everyone jumped out with me being last about to do-

Lisa: Super hero landing!

I jump off and land on my knees as I felt the pain.

Lisa(Thoughts): Shit my knees!

I get up slowly as I look over to Oobleck waiting for orders.

Oobleck: Ladies! You still may be students, but as of this moment, your first mission as Huntresses has begun! From this point forward, you need to do exactly as I say! Do you understand? Ruby! I thought I told you to leave all of your bags back at school.

I look over to Ruby and see her with a book bag on.

Ruby: But, uh, you hadn't told us to listen to you yet. So I didn't.

Oobleck: She's not wrong...

Lisa(Thoughts): Idiot....

Oobleck: Very well, Ruby; leave your bag here, we can pick it up upon our return.

Ruby: But I, well uh-

Oobleck: Young lady, what in the world could you possibly have in that bag that could be so important to bring it with...

Ruby: Get back in the bag.

Zwei merely barks in response.

Lisa: What the nugget is wrong with you...

Ruby merely scratches the back of her neck in embarrassment as Oobleck.

Oobleck: We're here to investigate an abandoned urban jungle teeming with death and hostility, and you brought... a dog?

Ruby: I, uh...

Oobleck: Genius!

He suddenly disappeared and took Zwei away from Ruby.

Oobleck: Canines are historically known for their perceptive nose and heightened sense of sound, making them excellent companions for a hunt such as ours!

Ruby: I'm a genius!

Lisa(Thoughts): Oum we're going to die here.

I look down as I hear Blake speak.

Blake: So, what are your orders, Doctor?

Oobleck: Ah, yes, straight to the chase; I like it!

He then drops Zwei as he lands on his face before running to Ruby.

Oobleck: As you've been informed, the southeast area has been marked as a recent hot spot for Grimm activity. Now, there are several possible explanations for this behavior, one of which being... Grimm.

Ruby: Uh, what?

Oobleck: Grimm. A creature of Grimm approximately one hundred yards from us at this very moment.

Yang: What?!

We turn to see the lone Beowolf wandering into the street, everyone then started unleashing their weapons.

Oobleck: Stop!

Blake: Huh?

Oobleck: There are a number of reasons why Grimm will congregate in this particular area, the most likely of which will be their attraction to negativity: sadness, envy, loneliness, hatred. All qualities that are likely held by our hidden group harboring ill intent.

Ruby: So... What now?

Oobleck: We wait. We track. If this specimen leads us to its pack, that pack may subsequently lead us to our prey.

Blake: How long do we wait?

Oobleck: It's uncertain. Hours, days, weeks. Why, lone Grimm have been known to stay isolated from the pack for months - and there's the whole pack.

His sudden realization is true as I look to see five Beowolves are already following the first.

Weiss: What?

Oobleck: And now they've seen us.

Weiss: What?!

Oobleck: AND NOW THEY'VE SEEN US!

Ruby: I take it tracking them is out of the question?

Lisa: Obviously.

Oobleck: An accurate assumption, yes.

Yang: What's the plan, then?

The team turns to their teacher as the creatures close in as I take out my knife.

Oobleck: Show me what you're capable of.

That all started to rush at the Grimm as I stood behind them next to Docter Oobleck.

Oobleck: Are you not going to help them An?

Lisa: What do you mean I am helping.

I look behind me and throw a knife at the Beowulfs as it dropped dead.

Lisa: I'm making sure they don't come from the rear.

I go to the now dusting Grimm and take my knife back. I made my way back to Oobleck as I see them finishing up.

Ruby: Heh. Piece of cake!

Oobleck: Do not celebrate yet, for I am certain this is the first bout of many. Shall we continue?

They all nod as we moved on to the next place.

Timeskip-

I killed another Beowulf as I used Iron Maiden to hold the Grimm in place making sure it doesn't escape. It was was so desperate to escape but it died as I let the poison inside the thorns finish the job. I walk out to see everyone tired except me, Oobleck and Ruby still able to fight as I see Ruby playing with Zwei. I walk away from everyone looking around the wasteland until I hear Oobleck call me.

Oobleck: An, why did you come here?

Lisa: Because my team is here...

Oobleck: No I mean why are you here at Beacon for huntresses. Surely someone your age should be playing around and with your family.

I was silent for a couple of seconds until I spoke.

Lisa: I do have a family but sadly they split apart so now I'm alone and the reason I'm here is.......I'm here for someone.

Oobleck: And who is this someone?

Lisa: That's a topic that I don't like to talk about but maybe one day you'll find out maybe soon.

Their was silence as I walked away going back to explore the ruins of the city.
